Right. She literally would just have been Obama 2.0 except possibly considerably more liberal in some social aspects. Remember (ofc no one does esp people born 2 weeks ago) that she had pushed healthcare reform forever.

Right. You can't even have a conversation with them because they don't live in reality.
Genuinely they have been such a fucking failure for this country. Conservatives are dogshit at everything. I feel bad for sane rural voters (the 10-33%)
The GOP entered this redistricting under the rather childish delusion they were going to gerrymander, and nobody would gerrymander them. In TX, MO, and a half dozen other states, they put their rather naive theory into operation. They sowed the wind, and now they are going to reap the whirlwind

...we are going for more division, although I guess thats not really true, the division already existed its whether or not its recognized and something is done about it or not.
Isn't it also kind of ground zero for the assimilation though. To a lot of these latinos they really believed they were as 'american' to their conservative buds, and certainly a number will still believe it anyway. Hoping for the best here but weirdly, it feels wrong because essentially...
Over and over and over again.
So, yes, @jamellebouie.net is right. The Right has sought to cultivate this idea that it has no agency for *generations*. No agency means no accountability. Power without accountability is what the Right has always sought in America. And I do mean *always*.
Gil Duran tweet: TLDR: Fascism in response to Palantir's long fascists screed on X.
"Your Account is Suspended" Message on X
The CEO of Palantir posted a fascist manifesto on X.
I pointed out that it was fascist—which resulted in a permanent suspension from X (my second time!).
So, when you hear the tweeters complaining that BlueSky is intolerant, remember why many of us came here in the first place.
even then it kind of sucks, nyc subway has like 5x more sexual assault per capita than japan's subways
Yup. For profit news is a failure. Even nyt ownership has been bad, pushing anti vaccine bs, anti trans bs, among other things, and the anti-trans bs was all the way from the top confirmed.
He still got enough votes, and this time he didnt lose the popular vote either. So americans overall are being more stupid not less.
Its not particularly easy to make some random civilian basically commit suicide to attack you and claiming this frankly requires better evidence than 'conservatives overstated that he was injured by the bullet directly hitting him' when ricochet and debris exist. Even in this admin.
Like duh obviously the bullet either only did a grazing wound at *most* and didn't hit him directly. This isn't a conspiracy.
This is genuinely a very stupid conspiracy ever and really shows that magical thinking and conspiracy thinking isnt just a right wing thing even if they have a good monopoly.
No one ever said he was shot in the ear? He was hit by ricochet damage from whatever was nearby that the bullet hit. Probably a very small piece of glass.
Mildly misleading, more like a few thousand did, the full website is not a rape academy, millions viewed the site, not the ads for the academy or its own website. Some serious clickbait
On multiple occasions in the past year, members of a security detail had difficulty waking Patel because he was seemingly intoxicated, according to information supplied to justice department of White House officials. Our request for “breaching equipment” – normally used by SWAT and hostage rescue teams to quickly gain entry into the buildings – was made last year because Patel had been unreachable behind, locked doors, according to multiple their request
I’ve been drunk but never “call the breaching team” drunk
Not from the prequels but, they gave us the A6 Juggernaut. I mean, come on, this is cool as fuck.
I think realistically its hard to fit thst story within 3 movies. They really needed a movie between 2 and 3 that fleshed out anakin and the issues with jedi council
The way I see it the prequels gave us the clone wars and to this day there is nothing cooler to me than the fucking clone wars battles. God I just wanted a full movie of them.
No other country works like this where the legislature essentially does nothing. And we didn't work like this either until the latest filibuster change 50 years ago.
It needs to be clear to people who dont pay attention to politics which side is which and a world where both sides can barely change anything legislatively makes this appear as almost the exact same for these people!
Sure they will eventually go back to the GOP, but this is why you want such good policy in place that the GoP either cant undo the changes or takes a big popularity hit doing so or doing other unpopular nonsense that they can talk about 24/7 but cannot implement without too much pushback.
No other democracy on the planet works like this, this is utterly dysfunctional to have a legislature that essentially cannot ever do its job. Push through major reforms and major pro-middleclass and working class tangible benefits at the same time and let the public learn who is who.
At this point the minimum is to support Dems who will kill the filibuster. Otherwise we will just continue this cycle of Dems doing almost nothing, public getting mad and electing the GOP who also do nothing and repeat.
But yes we need major reforms but you won't get the normies respect without also pushing through policies that tangible benefit them or at least make a very clear showing that the Dems are not on the side of the super rich and lobbyists.
There is no need to get an Obama style trifecta to pull this off. But everyone in power is too attached to the easy status quo where they don't have to do their jobs and make change that is so consequential for the GOP to undo that they don't or take a bit hit doing so.
This isn't even true though, kill the filibuster, then we can be a normal democracy where the legislature actually works and the public can decide how much they actually like the GoP.
An endless stream of spam phone calls these days. That's a direct result of Trump's FTC.
