35 years just seems to have flown by...

Made the mistake of going to the show about 20 years ago in Miami, never again. BUT they apparently find a way every year to track me down and send me their brochure. EVERY YEAR.

This reminds me of going to the car mechanic for an oil change, only to have them "find" a "big problem" that they quote $3000 for, but hey, they can knock that down to only $500 if they use aftermarket and second-hand parts.

Despite Homan telling Minneapolis that "only" about 500 of the 3000 ICE/CBP agents still remain here, local media and politicians still report almost the same amount of activity. They have simply spread out to the suburbs and are moving in smaller gangs.

Not normally a prayer kind of person, but positive psychic waves are something I actually believe in, so sending those.

Well now that ICE has invaded the MPLS metro, our local NextDoor app has gone from being a site to track lost pets, garage sales and snowblower repairs, to just another MAGA v. sane people fight arena. Sadly I use it for reselling to make some $ on the side, but it's like wading through slime now.

Dyslexia is not just words and numbers. It's concepts and relationships. Mine are just messed up.

I was awesome at math up through geometry (real stuff), then I got to algebra and bs like "square root of -1" and my dyslexia just noped out. It's like I can fix your computer problem with intuition, but if you ask me HOW, I just start to cry.

I have a theory- the destruction of the East Wing is about making sure Melanie doesn't have to deal with Christmas decorations again, like her disastrous Hall of Blood Trees in the first term.

Had a "country lawyer" friend get one of his clients off because the officer could not tell the difference between real beer and NA beer just by smell. Claiming he could "smell it" without any physical evidence was not enough. Of course now if the client was hispanic they'd be deported anyway.

I find this interesting because I have LC and I am also dyslexic, which is sometimes linked to problems in the corpus colossum, which send signals between left and right brain. Wonder if treatments for the one could help with the other. Because I have both.

If I could ban one line for politicians responding to questions about what other politicians have said/done (see all GOP when Trump is obviously senile), it would be the "I haven't seen/head/read..." trope. They are GLUED to media, so this line is total BS. And media lets them get away with it. BS.
