How could anyone defend this regime? They have done unconscionable harm to our neighbors, including our most vulnerable- children.

everyone with real American manliness and a basic knowledge of military history knows that serious war efforts have never been derailed by such trifling matters as "communicable diseases"

Paper titled, "Union representation? What can. you do about it?" Features a Peanuts comic strip with two frames. In the First, Lucy holds up a fist to Linus, saying "These five fingers...individually they're nothing. But when I curl them together like this into a single unit, they form a weapon that is terrible to behold!" In the second frame, Lucy is walking away while Linus looks at his relaxed fingers saying, "Why can't you guys get organized like that?" Below the comic strip in bubble letters: "It's ok to organize." From the AFSCME Organizing and Field Services records, Reuther Library, Wayne State University.

An organized group is a terrible weapon to behold! From the

If our government was legitimate someone somewhere would realize that AI is going to lead to mass unemployment and be working hard at solutions or safety nets.

I still don't quite understand how industry thinks we will be consumers when we no longer have jobs to buy things.

Hey terrible news! Mn Sen. Ann Rest has cut the HCMC-saving sales tax plan from 1% to .25%, hiked the Twins’ skim (from $7m to $9m, way above current $1.1m). The sales tax will fall far short of what HCMC needs, so will do more to save the Pohlads than the hospital. assets.senate.mn/committees/2...

This Day in Labor History: April 11, 1986. Police fired tear gas at strikers at the Hormel plant in Austin, Minnesota after UFCW Local P-9 shut down the plant by blocking the main gate to the building. 17 workers were arrested that day. Let's talk about this iconic, terrible union loss of the 80s!

The Dodge pickup commercial with an AI “video” of the Boston Tea Party summarized as “we didn’t like the taxes so we dumped the tea” is sadly perfectly spot on for where we are right now

Despite Apocalyptic Warnings, California Fast Food Wage Hike Didn’t Kill Jobs UC Berkeley study finds employment held steady — and only pennies were added to menu prices.

Are you telling me that industry arguments about raising wages killing jobs or making prices skyrocket aren't true?!

Just watched a bipartisan bill from Reps Greenman (DFL) and Roach (GOP) that would prohibit local electeds and staff from signing NDAs with developers and increase transparency and public trust. Testimony in favor included local electeds and it failed to move out of committee on a party line vote

Newly Obtained Video of Minneapolis Shooting Undermines ICE Account

Remember when DHS agents had no choice but to shoot two Venezuelan men because the men had attacked them with a snow shovel and a broomstick?

New video shows they were lying about that one, too.

They’re withholding Medicare funds for our hospitals based on “technical errors”then announcing funding will surely be released in the same day we’re told we must choose bywn Medicare, Medicaid & daycare or military spending in Iran. Not a difficult moral choice but they’ll surely make the wrong one

With our already broken healthcare system pushed to emergent needs for a rescue because our government has so intentionally forced us into false choices, I’m feeling particularly despondent. How do we make people care about our most basic needs as humans?

I agree, though the personal leave is also an issue due to the timing; the article explains that they were kept on for 2 days of 2026(only 1work day) to receive 6 addl days for payout.I have no issue w the severance& vac payout but I’m upset about bonuses when we don’t pay many city EEs a living wage
