I need a minor procedure done and my doctor gave me the choice between in office(longer recovery, more painful and worse results) vs in the OR(more expensive.) People being forced to make medical decisions based on insurance coverage is truly one of the worst things about America.

Maybe a statement like "Produced by a Human Mind"!

If the 'dinner' is during working hours, offer to be the one to stay and keep the office/whatever operating during that time ... if it is after hours, explain that you have a 'mandatory' other commitment that cannot be changed or avoided!

When I go to the grocery store, I have my shopping list, & I write the shelf rice on each item I pick up, & if there isn't a shelf price, I don't buy it there, & if there is a discrepancy when I get home & recheck it all, I stop shopping in that store after I get the refund of the error amount!
