Oh yes! I've started doing sketches a bit differently from having the technique of layer passes in digital - but I'm layering different tones and hues of colored pencils. It's fun to kind of notice what translates across mediums.
I totally agree! My sketches always feel better visually and emotionally when I am using a sketch book. Just something special about the experience with traditional tools.
And I love the dopamine spike of trying out new supplies
