That money would be better spent on automatic enforcement equipment.

You just know they’d be ticketing the people on bikes.
Don't forget all those gears designed to make climbing hills easier!
The Snake River, East of Pullman is really nice in late summer.
The Palouse is lovely in the spring. Green, rolling hills forever. I spent a lot of time exploring the area while I studied architecture at WSU.
I wonder how many other businesses are going to follow suit as long as the current clown show is in charge down there?
Today I learned that this video was filmed just West of Calgary in Kananaskis.
I keep thinking of buying one. More accurate than standing there with a hair dryer pointed at cars.

Not a camera, but gives you the speed.
@cityofnorthvan.bsky.social, by failing to provide a network of safe, protected bike lanes you are preventing a segment of the population from commuting by bike or riding for utility. A segment that would like to but won’t because of the perceived danger imposed by drivers. No, scratch “perceived”.
We do. It’s a shame we need them for such a small city, though. Schools should be within walking distance. But that’s not just a municipal problem but a provincial one as well.
When @cityofnorthvan.bsky.social council says they prioritize active transportation & safe streets, don’t believe them. What they really prioritize is the speed and convenience of drivers, & preserving homeowner landscaping that has crept onto the public right of way. www.nsnews.com/local-news/c...
With a quick detour to North Vancouver. We have a really nice theatre.
Forbid drop offs by car. Require parents to walk their kids to school, if they feel their child can’t manage it alone.
Our council says they support active transportation and want to have safe streets for people outside cars but their (in)actions say otherwise. We elected a mayor and council based on this messaging but it appears we’ve been conned. They have said it themselves, they don’t want to alienate drivers.
A mailer by the City of North Vancouver promoting biking to school and work. Problem is, this council doesn’t want to upset drivers so are doing bugger all to provide safe infrastructure for those of us who choose to use our bikes for transportation. You know, this council really has some balls to promote active transportation while doing nothing to provide safe infrastructure. Starting to feel conned by this council.
@cityofnorthvan.bsky.social continues to promote riding to work and school by bike without providing us with the infrastructure to make doing so safe. The lack of action by this council has left me deflated. I’ve had so many close calls, I’m thinking of going back to commuting by car.
I have a solution to drivers complaining that they don't get to park their private property on public land for free anymore: simply remove all of the parking (except accessibility spots) and use that freed-up space to make the beach bigger.
While heading to the park this afternoon, I watched a kid driving with mum in the passenger seat, red “L” on the rear o the car, pull an illegal mid-block u-turn with no regard for the fact that I was approaching in my car. The mum should lose her license and the kid be forced to wait a year or two.
@cityofnorthvan.bsky.social what’s stopping you, now that you’ve been shown where you can find the space?
I can't repeat this enough!
How did it go on Monday? Sadly, I was studying for an exam.
Not sure.
I was listening to this being discussed on CBC this morning and when they said it was a 10 minute walk, I thought that sounded a bit far.
To those accustomed to privilege, equality feels like oppression.

He’s looking very pleased with himself.
Let’s do this for Canada.
