Thank you! π That's something I needed to hear
Believing in myself has been the hardest thing I've had to do
Can you truly fake confidence?
If so....
How can you act more confident than you actually feel?
Let's talk about it in my latest blog!

Interesting...when I was a kid, I used to empty the clothes out of my wardrobe and sleep under the lot of them; I found the weight comforting!
Yess, I did similar when I was younger!
It's called deep pressure stimulation, where we apply firm, gentle pressure to take us out of fight or flight mode
It's also why a pet on our lap or a tight hug can be so soothing π
Did you know?
Weighted blankets can reduce stress, anxiety, and even chronic pain.
Whenever I need to feel more grounded and calm, I crawl under my weighted blanket like a hibinating bear π»
Perhaps one will be your next self-care purchase!

Major props to anyone who DOESN'T have anxiety or just a general sense of impending doom
Seems near impossible during the current state of things
Hope the sun rises soon

The sweaty climb to reach such waterfalls is *ahem* not so enjoyable...
But, we have to give a little to take a little when it comes to our beautiful world, right?
Photo of a waterfall
Staring at waterfalls is my favorite pastime
Do you know that feeling to sitting at your desk trying to *force* an idea, solution, or just a spark of creativity?

A great entry to the blog today, a fantastic read to get away from the commuting doom scroll on my way to work.
Whilst I make videos which are focused around me talking a lot, I struggle with public speaking a lot. It's very different behind a screen with 100 cuts.
Love it
It's a topic that really reasonates with me as someone with social anxiety, and I've done a lot of research to find tips that are actually helpful rather than sticking to generic advice
So, don't worry, I won't be telling you to imagine your audience in their underwear
Your descriptions are just as captivating as your photographs π
Glad you like it! I'll definitely be making moreπ
My newest article is for anyone struggling with public speaking. I'm not just talking about big speeches or presentations, but even regular interactions that cause nerves π€ποΈ

New hobby alert π¨
I'll try not to go overboard with buying yarn and accessories, buuutttt making this little octo has made my Monday bearable π
Another Friday appears
I'm super glad to get through another work week
But it's kinda deflating knowing I spend 70% of the week waiting for the other 30%
My cat always seems to know when I'm getting tense. She'll sneak over and just flop herself on me π±
Pet cuddles are a great example of deep pressure stimulation, which can ease our anxiety and help us relax
Read more about it in my latest blog: gettingtoknowourselves.net/what-is-deep...
Most of the time I have a pretty good idea why I'm anxious
But sometimes I don't know what's making me feel that way.
The 'there are enemies nearby' music is just louder some days.
After you acquire a billion dollars you should have to start the game over at a higher difficulty level
Looking to find the level of peace and contentment my cat has on a fluffy blanket

Very concerning.. I do feel that younger generations need to be explicitly taught how to fact-check and shown the importance of finding sources for information
Loving the colours here
Behold, my little ring holder cactus, made from air-dry clay, a screw, and some tinfoil! π΅
I love him of course.
This is one of my first clay projects, and was pretty simple to do
I talk about clay sculpturing and other easy hobbies in my lastest blog gettingtoknowourselves.net/10-easy-hobb...
