To fund the transition, we need better, fairer taxes that make big companies and the uber-rich contribute their fair share.

It doesn't have to be either/or. We need the government to fund better climate-safe infrastructure long-term (such as fast, frequent and free public transport) AND in the meantime communities need support in the transition.

Dozens of us came together and zoomed into Parliament to deliver our people-powered oral submission against the government's proposed RMA changes, which would undermine Te Tiriti, slash environmental protections and give handouts to big polluters.

it's time for NZ to do our fair share in the global fight against climate change. Getting off fossil fuels would means NZers would be less exposed to oil volatility. Instead of sending over $20 billion overseas to fossil fuel companies every year, let's produce clean, homegrown energy here in NZ.

We can understand why the Minister is too embarrased to show up - this government's climate record is completely undefendable! They slashed over thirty policies from the Emissions Reduction Plan, and replaced actual emission cuts with questionable offsets from pine trees

Despite Parliament being just a 70-second walk away from the High Court, Climate Minister Simon Watt's couldn't be bothered to turn up to defend himself in Court today. His laywers will be attempting to defend the (lack of) credibility in the Minister's Emissions Reduction Plan.

Post image This photo shows a small protest gathering outside a modern glass government building, likely in a civic or institutional area. The group is standing beneath a green metal-framed glass canopy that covers the entrance walkway. The architecture behind them is contemporary, with large glass panels and visible interior corridors.

Main banner

At the front of the group, several people are holding a long black banner stretched across the width of the entrance. In large white block letters it reads:

“KEEP THE CARBON IN THE GROUND.”

The banner is about chest height and spans almost the entire group, making it the most visually dominant element in the image.

Protest “laundry line”

Behind the banner is a clothesline-style display where protest messages are written on pieces of cloth and hung like laundry using pegs. This creates a visual metaphor of “airing dirty laundry.”

New Zealanders have a proud history of a values-based foreign policy. We cannot let this slide.

As the world holds its breath watching the start of yet another destructive, carbon-intensive war - 350 urges the government to do what we can to stand against militarism and warmongering.

We cannot allow ourselves to lose our shared humanity.

War is not only a horrific killing machine. It is also a climate disaster; Israel’s war on Gaza spewed more climate pollution than over a hundred countries.

No change to government's LNG plans after global price spike Labour says it is naive to rely on LNG.

There's only one reason; this government is completely captured by the fossil fuel industry.

It's time for a government that is focused on delivering clean, affordable energy - not protecting the interests of their corporate mates.

LNG gas prices have risen by 50% in Europe, and almost 40% in Asia.

Why would the government pay well over a billion dollars for the privilege of exposing New Zealanders to erratic overseas gas prices?

Stop Denniston’s Coal Monster

As this cheeky video makes clear, there's a zillion reasons why ANZ should refuse to support Bathurst's monstrous coal mine, slap bang in the middle of Kiwi habitat.

Share this video - and together let's pressure ANZ to do the right thing.

No bank; no mine.

In 2026, ANZ has a historic opportunity to end their relationship with risky fossil fuel expansion once and for all. Without access to banking services - Bathurst Resources' house-of-cards proposed Denniston mine could be stopped dead in its tracks.

Let's make this a one-term government.

..Our rivers will keep being poisoned, attacks on Māori will escalate & the 3000 annual deaths from air pollution will only increase. The now-shaky Denniston coal proposal will become a near certainty, & we can say goodbye to quality public transport we all need to get to where we live, work & play.

.Our role at 350 is not to beat around the bush in empty hopes of gaining the ear of those political parties captured by corporate interests whose buisness model is built on polluting our air, waterways and climate. If this government wins a second term, our emissions will skyrocket...

Environmental and climate considerations will lose focus and priority - with compromises made before advice ever reaches ministers.

It's worth noting that some of the powers MfE and its agents currently hold will be merged into a new mega-entity. It's clear that the new entity will have to trade off environmental responsibilities against a wide variety of other aspects they have to consider.
