Is there a word for when an author makes themselves sad from fictional events they’ve created in their minds?

The Factory Ent ones are foam, but they are awesome and extremely detailed for LARP stuff. May be the way to go:

Roddenberry Shop ones from a few years ago were pretty much screen accurate, but you’ll only see them through resellers now with ridiculous prices. A few people are 3D printing good copies over on etsy, but the scale is usually off. Avoid Chinese knock-off crap like the plague.
A plastic model of the USS Pershing
I can’t speak for @starfleethist.bsky.social, but I’m pretty sure Pershing was inspired by whatever model kits he could get his hands on 😉
100%. I designed the Pershing back in 2015 based on what a capital ship made from parts of other 1980s/1990s Starfleet ships already existed in shipyards at the time of the Dominion War. I built that model with that image in mind back in 2020. To my surprise, the parts fit together almost perfectly.
Our contest winners have their book! “One Day in a Very Long Dominion War” is now available for free via @tranquilitypress.bsky.social. Because certain #scifi franchises belong to everyone, so everyone should have a chance to contribute:
#StarTrek is not important because of what it is. #StarTrek is important because of what it represents: a better future for us all, if we choose it.
Happy #FirstContactDay.

What a fucking shot holy shit
@kaitlynugoretz.bsky.social @riversidewings.bsky.social I had no idea he was buried in Newport cause he died in NYC, but randomly stumbled upon him while visiting this week. He’s right down the way from his brother, Oliver:
The cemetery guide did make me a little disappointed:

Ran into someone unexpectedly while on spring break:
The first line that came to mind when I heard about the decision on #StarfleetAcademy, but what I love most about #StarTrek is the franchise has died many deaths before:
“Second star to the right…”
1. #SpaceCases is also my “show that got away.” I watched every episode in the #90s and was the core demographic
2. Also had a huge crush on Catalina
3. Genuinely feel the S1 finale ranks as one of the best cliffhangers in #scifi along with #TNG BOBW and #DS9 S5:
4. #ParamountPlus do the right thing
“The protein powered snack that helps you fight back!”
Happy Squid is the official mascot of the Happy Squid Seafood Jerky Company: a Klingon advertising icon just now becoming popular in the UFP as more consumers look to non-replicated, all-natural foods.

The first #Klingon to reach the rank of yokozuna was Sord, Son of Bok (Japanese name u chuu-yama) in 2358. He reached over 300kg. It was said “when u chuu-yama did shiko, all of Japan shook.”

Almost no human sports found appeal in the #Klingon Empire after 2293. The one exception was #sumo whose focus on discipline, strength, and ritual was deeply appealing to Klingons. Leagues quickly appeared on Qo’noS and many travelled to Japan to compete professionally (1/2):
(It has Klingon bows)
The episode on the Klingon diaspora and the return to nomadic tribes was one of the best of all #StarTrek
I may have both on the way to me now…
“What are we having?”
“Something with a proof.”
#StarTrek is about the people and the burdens you can’t see them carrying. THAT is when it’s at its best.

The songs of the characters are the ones you see the in text. Music is very important to the mood for me, but I also want to make sure readers can hear their own music as well
Cool, don't watch it then and move on with your life instead of trying to make the rest of us miserable

If I ever get the chance to ask @ginayashere.bsky.social a question at an event it will be:
“One of my favorite sets of yours is when you introduced your white girlfriend to your Nigerian mother. How would you introduce your human girlfriend to your Klingon mother?”
Oooo good question! A lot of the subsequent books deal with the consequences of great power competition and smaller nations trapped in the middle. Really wish I could have fit more of those into the narrative (like Gorn, Ferengi, etc.) but I had a targeted endstate I wanted to hit in seven books.
