As a non drinker I agree! Particularly in summer, sometimes you'd just love a big creamy piece of cake and a chat with a pal, at 8pm/9pm and there's just nowhere. Our Costa opens until 7, but it's the only gig in town at that time. Tbf, I guess they can't compete with pubs.

About 5 years ago I wore a glittery dress for Christmas Day that shed EVERYWHERE. Scrubbed and cleaned and hoovered and mopped the place to try to get rid of the glitter. Currently cleaning my kitchen for my son's birthday tomorrow and just found a patch of glitter on the floor under the oven. Sigh.

I thought one of my posts had gone viral cos I had like 300 notifications but it was only a glitch cos Blue Sky was down. Am a bit disappointed, ngl

No way!! But actually now thinking about it ...I think I remember you posting about it! Menopause memory strikes again. I hope you're enjoying the floating head in all in anyways!

Ah cool! I didn't know there was an actual restaurant in this part of the world.

Yes! The soup dumplings! Those are great too, love those. It's a decent range all round I think.

When you move on to soft food - do you like dumplings, the Chinese ones? ItSu do a lovely range in Tesco in the freezer and if you steam them in the microwave they're very soft and slippery but taste really nice! ItSu also do their version of a Pot Noodle that's really tasty and soft.

A Healy-Rae voluntarily giving up a position of influence feels like when all the animals flee ahead of an earthquake.

What'll the lesser spotted other Healy-Rae do now? Will he vote no confidence too? #speirgorm

Ah thanks for this Linda! I needed the nostalgia. I still remember the cringe of it 'do what I say or I'll shop elsewhere'. I'm sure Tesco were THRILLT not to have to deal with him anymore.

It's a trial.

Yeah, that's more what I meant. Just the smaller parties piddling around when they're all the same! Just group up, do SOMETHING, form some sort of coalition that is left LEANING at least, even a little bit! I'm begging!

I know I should probably be out here being all 'get FG out, remove FF, the opposition can do better blah blah' but I don't feel it. I'm sorry but I don't, there's no cohesion, there's no common message. So left voters are once again scrambling to think who to vote for.

Like, if the government falls today do we HAVE a credible left opposition ready to step into its shoes? I don't think we do! I've voted left all my life, I've never voted for Government parties but time after time I'm disappointed at the left's inability to combine and form a government. Sorry.

As a citizen - who supports the right to protest and believes the farmers and hauliers were fine to assemble and disrupt traffic etc - I found it genuinely frightening how easy it was to take over that oil refinery and the port. It was too easy, and let go for far too long.

I'm fairly certain the time in the Dáil can be extended when it's something as serious as this? And it is serious- whether you support the protests or not, the fact is about 20 lads with five tractors shut down the country without intervention of the Gardai! And they did it in about half an hour!

Same! V hard on the internet nowadays though, it's everywhere. Particularly with the rise of GLP1s, it's very hard to avoid - all the 90s diet chat is back, along with the terrible fashion! This is why I follow mainly Insta accounts about smutty books! My FYP is all hunky men and quivering boobs!

Oh anything is better than a cig for sure. But it absolutely is rooted in diet culture too. I've attended more slimming clubs than I can shake a stick at and the 'advice' at every single one of them is to guzzle water all day to stop you eating. You see it on all the influencer pages now too.

Yeah, sure, I have one so I know that. Silver anniversary of shitting my brains out wherever I go next year, yayyyy! I just hate those water bottles, what can I say?! I also think for many people they're rooted in diet culture (have a drink if you're hungry!) and I just hate seeing it.

That's why I said "in general" adults only need about six cups a day. There's always a per centage that need more cos of meds etc and that's fine. I just can't bear them!

1 week ago 0 0 1 0

That was kinda my point, the vast majority of people DON'T need to hydrate that much in a day. That's why I said "in general" adults need about six cups. Obvs ppl on various meds etc need more so work away! You've a system that works for you!

It's my hill upon which I am willing to die! I swear, I'll crack one day and beat people about the ankles with their own water bottle! I will, and you'll all be sorry!! *whispers* all of youuuuuuuuu!

Hahaha but also I'm a Dub and I've never eaten coddle. Wouldn't let it through the door. I'm convinced it was some ploy by the Brits back in the day to try to take us down.

Yes, drink them while standing/sitting in your kitchen, workplace, cafe, restaurant. Nobody needs covered drinks unless you're going on a very long car journey. People can survive 40 minutes on the bus without a drink.
