a man stands at a podium with the words " billions and billions " on it ALT: a man stands at a podium with the words " billions and billions " on it

Good morning!

Since Trump was re-elected, Forbes estimates—

💰His net worth is up $2 billion, to $6.3 billion

💰Eric’s is up 10x, to $400 million

💰Don Jr.’s is up 6x, to $300 million

💰20-year-old Barron is worth $150 million

And Jared became a billionaire last year.

Have a great day!

What is happening in the UK is entirely the result of allowing the Daily Mail, GB News, Nigel Farage, Tommy Robinson, Andrew Tate, and all the others to spew their bile to hundeds of thousands every single day.

I call on my party and my government to remove themselves entirely from X and communicate with the public where they actually participate online and can be protected from such illegality.

The government does not appear to be even considering any of these options
- direct communication to X by the Prime Minister or an SoS
- a temporary cessation of government communications until this stops
- an inquiry to the police as well as to Ofcom about the production of unlawful content

“Be kind, be involved, believe in your art,” he said. “At a time when people tell you art is not important, that is always the prelude to fascism. When they tell you it doesn’t matter, when they tell you a fucking app can do art you say, if it’s that important, why the fuck do they want it so bad? The answer is because they think they can debase everything that makes us a little better, a little more human. And that, in my book, and in my life, includes monsters.”

This is dystopian horror. Innocent people literally got a stamp on a card at random to let them know if they would live or if they would starve to death.

Not because the world lacks resources—but because its stricken with greed. All this blood is on the hands of Trump, Musk, & feckless Republicans.

Fixed it for you. Idiots! If the exclusion is based on appearance then it will certainly impact cis folks as well as trans folks.

Robbie Gibb was appointed to the BBC Board by Boris Johnson, was an editorial advisor for GB News, and worked as Theresa May's Director of Comms.

He is not impartial or neutral. The government should remove him from the Board immediately to protect the BBC's independence.

The only safe place to use LLMs is in a field where you are already skilled enough to know you would never trust AI. So you might as well not.

We’ve got to start insisting on this Catch 22 being understood in all workplaces: AI only replaces workers too incompetent to notice it doesn’t work.

The BBC are accidentally running the subtitles to Mrs Marple over the Mercury Prize, and it’s rather wonderful. A few of lines could plausibly have been written by Jarvis.

The right-wing campaign group that helped topple Roe v Wade in the US is now working to roll back abortion laws in the UK, with the help of Nigel Farage.

Its first step? Trying to create a debate around "free speech"

Lost viola bow on the way from Honor Oak Station to Heathrow Terminal 2. The bow slid from its bow case somewhere along the way, possibly on the train. TFL contacted already.
It weighs 68.2 grams and has got a stamped DODD next to the frog. If any info on this, please pm me.

Laurie Magnus: Rayner acted "in good faith", had "the intention to pay all appropriate taxes", "was twice informed in writing" that the lower rate was due, "sought quickly to correct the mistake", "acted with integrity", but didn't seek expert advice.

That was a mistake. But I find this much worse⬇️

I've lost count of posts on here seemingly forgetting that it was a story from The Telegraph, or more accurately seeming to forget the type of rag the The Telegraph is. Baffling. I must have missed when the paper changed hands and suddenly became a reputable news source 🙃

BBC news reporting Farage saying he’ll “cut crime by half”.

If they ever reported the Greens, and the Greens said they’d do something super-Green, like cut fossil fuel by 95%, there would be questions “how?” But Farage gets to just promise an impossible thing, and that’s the story? What a shitshow.
