Demonstrators march around the White House to mark the anniversary of Trump’s second inauguration. The march, sponsored by @thirdactva.bsky.social, @thirdactmd.bsky.social, and @thirdactdc.bsky.social (that's a lot of acting!) was one of many #freeamerica walkouts around the area.
Over the holidays I talked with people waiving signs (and praying and even meditating) on street corners around DC, Baltimore and Chicago, asking them why they did it. The result is a documentary short, Highly Visible, viewable at vimeo.com/1149684421. Not a bad way to spend the break!
At the same time there was so much attention focused on food insecurity this fall I was asked to produce videos for two separate food distribution programs. One was quite large (feeding ~7,000 monthly) and one (in the video) is small, but both showed food insecurity continues in the DMV.
