And also, the thing that drives me into creating and transforming FF9 canon is the believe that some people hold that "the creators will do something about X one day", the X being Burmecia or anything else, but that day never comes, and I sure won't be waiting for it. I'm not a waiter, I'm a maker.

Concept art of an unused event set in Burmecia. I have no idea what it would be used for, probably a glimpse into Freya's past, but who knows.

And the fact that this concept art of an unused event exists only fuels my need for more Burmecian content even more.

All we get is a NPC saying "Hey Freya, the few of us that are left we will rebuild Burmecia, wanna join us" and that's it? We see Lindblum being rebuilt after it was attacked by Brahne's troops, but we don't see Burmecia being rebuilt, not to mention nobody talking about Cleyra turning into a chasm.

The catharsis that led me to write fanfiction was my disappointment with how the Burmecian subplot was handled in Final Fantasy IX. You mean that all these people died in a horrible way and we don't get to see their nation rebuilt?

Oh yeah, and this dude from Final Fantasy IX gets amnesia. Heck, we barely know who Sir Fratley was before the game's events, only that he was in a relationship with Freya, or not, maybe she had a crush on him and he did not reciprocate, but that's what fanfiction is for, right?

Houska from Moomins appears in a single episode and is never seen again. Her last scene shows her crying over her dead flowers after an awful misunderstanding. With my fanarts and my fanfiction, I hope to bring this character back from the limbo.
