Also last summer, my car broke down on a busy road and RAC took five hours to come to me, late into the night. Super kind man in house right by where I was brought me drinks and sandwiches (his prepped work lunch for the next day).

Last summer holidaying in Greece I fell on an uneven path, badly bloodying my knee. A very old woman saw & came out of her house to help -no common language between us but she knew what was needed immediately insisting I took a seat. She went indoors, then returned with water, swabs and iodine.

Israel’s genocide in Gaza has not stopped, despite the ceasefire: Analysts Analysts and a human rights group say Israel's genocide in Gaza has not stopped, despite the ceasefire.

Analysts told me that they agree with @amnesty.org in that Israel's genocide in Gaza is not over.

The mass killing has slowed but the conditions for life & society have been destroyed and are not being allowed to be rebuilt.

Disgraceful. No words really. These are monsters in human shape - I don’t know how they sleep. I hope they don’t.

Cat Smith (@catsmithmp.bsky.social) Labour MP for Lancaster and Wyre. Chair of Procedure Committee in House of Commons.

As we enjoy their daily aerobatics & celebrate our neighbourhood’s luck in having space for swift nests, we know their numbers are seriously declining elsewhere. So, this is puzzling & deeply disappointing to read www.theguardian.com/environment/...

Once more, with feeling:
Lots of people are busily showing us who they are.
Believe them.

The most magnificent concert of music with @NitinSawhney.bsky.social
& his amazing accompanying musicians @BridgewaterHall with the Hallé orchestra. Including incredible creation of ‘Heart Attack’ piece. Taking us through his scary experience earlier this year. Astonishing. 👏🏽👏🏽❤️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

Very much looking forward to this -after so many near misses, it looks like I’ll make it to a concert - it’s been sooo many years (North Shields/Newcastle Riverside I think). Call me excited 😍!

Same …it’s like the room at the party no one lingered in earlier in the evening that as the night develops gets some of the best people hanging out creating a buzz…a gentle one…but a buzz nonetheless 😊

Oh, actually, I think your is more ‘advanced’ than mine. Mine was mad up of letters and characters (&@@&;:&) when you looked closely and you saw the face when at arms length. Brilliant blast from the past that I’d completely forgotten.

Haha! You’ve broken a memory for me - I had one of these - I’m half thinking it was done while on holiday in Blackpool around 1970 …or maybe at school by an amazing teacher who used to do lots of exciting tech and science stuff to engage us kids. Need to dig deep in my old scull to sort that out!
