I love when a writer can’t help themselves, they are urged to dive completely into a word. It’s history, it’s variations, it’s elements and magic. How it relates to their personal experience. —From Robert Duncan’s HD Book
The 9yr old: “I’m a professinall.”
His mom: “a professional?”
The 9yr old: “no.”
“Just wait! Let me explain!”
— a character from every film and novel for whom no one will wait, and will not be afforded the chance to explain.
Not being able to afford the books at the 90s school fares really prepared me for not being able to afford the books I want as an adult.

Juicing the last citrus fruit of the season.
Being proud of your child’s first meme is a wholly Millennial parent experience.
Love poem 3/21 from Adrienne Rich’s The Dream of A Common Language
Been reading books about hiking Americas great trails which of course led me to read Wild which quotes sparingly, teasingly, from Adrienne Rich. Of course I had to take a detour through her work. #3 from 21 Love Poems in The Dream of The Common Language.

#Kaiser continues to stall talk while patients are being rescheduled, rerouted, their medicines unobtainable, and the #unionstrike lines remain strong. It can all end if #KP decides to start valuing their employees and patients instead of only their bottom line.

I can see why this maybe didn’t catch. It really starts at 37 seconds in. And that low sax note is almost comical. Still, it’s a good jam.
Honestly the fact that HAD submissions close within seconds, like tickets to a Taylor Swift concert, it makes me not want to compete, but more than that it makes me not want to read the journal either, like there’s a bad taste in my mouth when I click their links.
A writer sent me his guide: “I set up my computer two hours before the call date. I have my cover letter written on a document. I have my finder open with my submission right there. The moment the clock turns I press refresh I slide over the document I drop the cover letter. I press submit it.”
