Beidhändigkeit hat auch seine Vorteile. Man wird zum Händigkeits-Chamäleon.
“Das Tier bewegte sich in der Nacht nicht von der Stelle.”
Cartoon by Bernard Hage: Title How to watch the collapse of civilisation 1. A bearded middle-aged man sitting in a chair, looking at his phone. He's slumped forward, his posture is terrible; a broken red line traces the curve of his back, and there's a red X next to the picture. 2. The same man sitting in the same chair looking at the same phone, but this time he's sitting up straight. A broken green line traces his straight spine, and there's a green tick next to the picture.
Today's inspirational message:
All my life people have been saying Europe is unable to do things that it then does.
The Wire is a tv series, but it is also an encyclopedia to revisit again and again, without end. For example by revisiting Rawls’ relation with McNulty, and Rawls’ career. And his rethorical use of middle fingers in a committee setting and/or worker/employer relationship.
Going to be a big summer for middle aged men with heat pumps and solar panels.
Nicht als Unfall, sondern Absicht.

Theorising on a sunday. It is said that technology is faster than politics. I feel this is not as correct for politics, though for law-making as a whole it is true, but then that is a feature not a bug. Yet, who’s faster than tech? Markets. Plays in when thinking about AI disruption and your POV.
There is the user-generated content era, and now a sort of user-generated software era. Not forgetting open source development, but this is different.
More and more signs pointing towards the real possibility of change in Hungary.
But I still think the EU should not bank its strategy on Orbán losing, and should remain cautious until the election is over and the result accepted.
Possible futures.

NEW: The Kremlin continues cognitive warfare efforts to attempt to convince the West to abandon Ukraine by projecting the false narrative that Russian battlefield victory in Ukraine is inevitable and that Russian forces are making widespread battlefield gains.

I like to think of popular games as upskilling projects, they really make you good at something particular, with the right goal and content, this works, especially simgames. and then thinking about the societal bonus of 1000s of farmers, race/bus drivers, jetpilots and medieval city planners.
I feel that we have found out how to create a seemingly magic type of substructure yet collectively think we have created a whole brain. The feat is incredible on the surface and under it, yet we have the battle the reflex to see it as more than it is. Counterintuitive because it is so much.

Comic. [Person talking to person with black hat.] PERSON 1: Historically, it refers to a ceremony to predict the weather using a rodent. But nowadays people often use it to mean “a time loop experienced by one person.” PERSON 2: …What. [caption] Easily our weirdest holiday.
