i know it takes place in septmeber because the novels mention that flat's birthday (dec 1st) is coming up and gray has a fluffy collar in the anime, however (and i know this is just an oversight but SHHHH) there are no holiday decorations at all in snowfield which would be impossible for oct-dec

i don't know which is more brutal:
strange fake taking place before sept 13th so flat and svin are the same age when he dies
OR
strange fake taking place after sept 13th meaning svin recently turned an age flat will never get to

i really bummed the strange fake anime cut all of svin's scenes, because flat and svin's relationship is such a massively important part of their characters, something that strange fake's novels assert over and over again, even going as far to attribute flat's death to svin not being there with him
