i find it fascinating people believe the argument for unfinished arcs in the pitt is because it takes place during one day. films notoriously take place over short periods of time and have full arcs. You just have to write situations to press characters to have realizations and make Choices/Changes

As in all things, when you approach a topic with genuine interest, enthusiasm, and care, esp as a member of the community, it shows. When you're new to a topic or you think there's novelty/shock/look at these weirdos value, that also shows. Heavy overlaps here with coverage of romance!

When editors approach me for coverage that's not my lane, I refer them to more appropriate writers. While that hurts me economically, I think it's the right thing to do, but it's very obvious there are many writers who don't share this ethos or feel like they can't risk losing money.

Not to mention the nasty belittling misogynistic racist undertones of "hysteria" in response to people calling out a pattern of the white male head writers/showrunners dismissing woc's storylines and then firing them in a show largely promoted to be incredibly inclusive and socially progressive
