Or if one choose to stand with the oppressors, the Israeli military and their government who continue to commit mass atrocities including the crime of genocide against Palestinians in Gaza.
The response of the Canadian government and civil society will shape how we all perceive if one was on the right side of history by standing with Palestinian prisoners and with the oppressed in this world.
Solidarity is a moral imperative. It is how we stay human in the face of immeasurable and unfathomable human trauma and suffering that is entirely preventable. Our solidarity is our response to an unjust reality and system of colonial domination and subjugation of Palestinians.
Including freedom for all of the Palestinian hostages and prisoners, and freedom from the torture and inhumane treatment they are subjected to by the Israeli military.
While we stand firmly here today affirming Palestinians and their right to dignity and right to life and freedom.
Medical associations and other professional associations have largely if not completely failed to maintain equal respect for the right to life and freedom for Palestinians. This is a blatant act of dehumanization. And their silence demonstrates their complicity.

The Palestinian prisoner struggle for liberation is the heart of the Palestinian struggle for liberation.
It is the most professional and ethical thing to call for an end to genocide. It is the most human and humane thing to do to call for the freedom of people who are oppressed.

“Stay silent when children sleep, not when they die”. We must never be silent in the face of injustice and oppression. Free Palestine. 🇵🇸
Correction: actions took place in 12 cities across the country! 👏✊

I am a family doctor and public health researcher, and I oppose Carney’s cruel cuts to refugee healthcare. I join healthcare workers in 9 cities across the country today to demand access to publicly funded universal healthcare for ALL regardless of status. #NoCutsToCare
Free Congo! Free Palestine! No one is free, unless we are all free! Solidarity forever. 🇨🇩🇵🇸
So grateful to meet Bazeli Mbo, co-founder of Team Congo, working to raise awareness and action for ending genocide in Congo.

In this movement for Palestinian liberation, we meet some of the best people who are putting in the work for collective liberation. We are building and co-creating a different world together.
While we have a current Liberal government that is pouring billions of taxpayer dollars into fuelling militarism, war, and genocide, only deepening Canada’s complicity in an economy of death and destruction, and actively not investing in an economy for the everyday Canadian struggling to get by.
It really sets the tone for his leadership and priorities.
I think it’s quite something that @avilewis.ca in his first press conference in Ottawa as federal @ndp.ca leader is to push for common sense legislation that protects Canadians from consumer exploitation by corporations that care more about profits than people.
Actions are taking place tomorrow across the country to demand that refugee healthcare cuts be rolled back. Please take action to protect refugee healthcare. Learn more here: www.MigrantRights.ca/April14

Featuring my team @leahgazan.bsky.social shirt. She is a lighthouse for so many. Injustice anywhere is a threat to justice everywhere. Solidarity with all peoples who are oppressed, and may the bullies fade away, and our love shine bright for the world we are co-creating together. ❤️🔥✊
Meanwhile the efforts we make on land to pressure our institutions and respective states to boycott, divest, and sanction will bring us closer to collective liberation. Organize, mobilize, and act. We all have a role to play. Proud to be part of the @canadaboatgaza.bsky.social team.
A historic day here in Barcelona. The largest maritime direct action is coming together to challenge Israel’s illegal siege and blockade on Gaza.
If you reside in University-Rosedale or any of the other ridings with by-elections, please remember to get out and vote tomorrow! Historically, voter turnout is very low for by-elections. So your vote matters and counts that much more! Please vote for Serena, please vote! 🗳️
The flotilla movement is part of a broader international solidarity movement for Palestinian liberation. When governments fail, we sail! ❤️🔥✊

This is testimony from someone who is my age in Gaza. A 31-year-old male, arrested at Netzarim Checkpoint, held for a total of 53 days, initially at the checkpoint before being transferred to an unknown military camp and the Negev prison. He was interviewed 151 days after his release.
