Some used belts make incredible straps and with a leather hole punch, they are pretty easy to attach to the metal basket

Funny, this one always used a rag instead of the brush to bring the shine. Light pressure & quick movements seem to work quicker than the brush
With that said, you're still absolutely right on all regards (just prefer to use the brush for a quick shine, rag for the initial)
