Matt Damon playing a 14th century French knight that looks like a third baseman for the Phillies. Mullet. Beard. Smells like horse shit, pine tar, and cigarette smoke.

Matt Damon while playing Odysseus who also looks like a third baseman for the Phillies. Long, skinny beard. Smells like horseshit, pine tar, and perhaps Mediterranean herbs.

Matt Damon playing a 19th century cowboy that looks like a third baseman for the Phillies. Mustache. Shaggy hair. Smells like horse shit, pine tar, and definitely chewing tobacco.

Every time Matt Damon takes on a period role he ends up looking like a third baseman for the Phillies.

I wouldn’t be shocked if insider trading is what eventually brings a lot of these people down, in spite of their far more heinous crimes, à la Capone.

I would also not be surprised if we as a country fail to meaningfully reckon with those worse crimes as a result.

A man with glasses and a beard and short cropped hair very close foreground. Over his right shoulder, a woman with shortish curly hair and glasses in a jacket and scarf.

A view of the stage from the second balcony slightly to audience right at Boston’s Symphony Hall. The stage is mostly empty of musicians, but is set up for an orchestral performance. The ceiling and walls are generally pale, the perennial arch is gold filigree. The upstage wall is bedecked with organ pipes.

Hard to go wrong with any of those, but Korean bulgogi P1P1, knowing I'll wheel something good from the chicken or veg lists.

Oh my god, you’re right. I looked at them and thought “surely those are not the away kits.” And they sure are. My bad!

They should be in the new 2026 USA kits. Baffling why US Soccer wouldn’t do that.

Are there Swalwell defenders? I haven’t found any yet. My timeline is filled with people uniformly dunking on the man.

I wonder if waiting for the hatch to be opened on Integrity is anything like waiting to deboard your plane after landing.

My college orchestra did it right before launching into a Mozart overture, and boy was the energy palpable and the overture electric.

Teacher here, chiming in to say there are a lot of us out there who agree with you and who also can’t believe this needs saying. Human experience is important.

Two pictures of the pillsbury dough boy: once is on a purple background with the caption “he is risen! happy Easter!”, and the other is tan and brown, similar to a cracker, on a white background saying “he is not! Happy Passover!”

Lack of commas made me wonder why they have peanut butter hot sauce. Sounds delicious but unlikely.

Every ticketing phase, I followed FIFA's process and was turned down each time. Today, in the last stage, I sat in a queue for 5 hours to learn that there were no tickets left for any matches in my area. Cheapest aftermarket tickets are $635/ea. I'm sad for my family, and disgusted with FIFA. (2/2)

When the '26 WC hosts were announced, my wife was pregnant with our only child, and I got choked up thinking "when this kid is 7, I'm going to get to take him to the World Cup." And now here we are, and the US is what it is right now, and even if the US wasn't a mess, tickets are impossible. (1/2)
