Pixel art depicting Kermit the frog, as in his appearance in the show for the song "Rainbow Connection". Kermit sits in a log just above the surface with his banjo in hand. The pond reflecs (part of, because i forgot) the image above water, with the rainbow arching behind Kermit. There are also little fireflies of varying colors, just like the rainbow.

Nothing new to show yet. So here's something old instead!

Who among us hasn't mistaken a jester fox-witch for their sexy role-playing marten partner at one time or another?

Except when angry fox has them pinned and is baring teeth in their face. Then formality is optional.

LeStoat is still wandering through the snowy wastelands, looking very depressed. Stoat: I don't even care about motorboating the floof anymore. The stoat looks at the horizon and sees a figure that is roughly marten size and shape. Stoat gets a super happy face and bounces happily toward the figure. Stoat: Ha ha! I knew you'd turn up--

The figure whirls around. It's Mad Jacqui, the jester fox. MJ: Looking for the precious, weasel? Stoat: Oh! Erm... sorry. I thought you were someone else. MJ: Riiiight. This icy wasteland is just crawling with fox-witch jesters. It's hard to keep us straight. As the fox walks away, stoat thinks: Fox-witch jester?

Stoat thinks and gets a sly grin. Stoat (excitedly): Get over here and hug me, b*tch!

Mad Jacqui has tackled the stoat and is crouched menacingly on their chest, pinning them to the ground. MJ: CARE TO REPEAT THAT, YOU LITTLE SH*T? Stoat (horrified): Oh god... s-sorry! I thought... sorry!

I love how Lenore and Icarus are things cosmic beings but then they have Locket and first and foremost they're embarrassed parents (or at least Icarus is)

This is Achrioptera manga, a giant phasmid or stick insect native to Madagascar.

The specific epithet, "manga" means blue in Malagasy & it's not hard to see why. Only males are blue.

The tiny back wings ("alae") are an example of brachyptery: they're useless for flight, but have other functions.

I think it's becoming like this across all social media. I saw a discussion about this recently, and someone pointed out that while there are more people on Insta, their engagement there isn't great either. Someone else suggested more people are just talking to chatbots, which is sad.

The is some very smooth and effective animation right there.

pre-Locket Icarus? Seems very suave and charming.
