Women/fem presenting folks in the #d&d and ttrpg space - what is our "beard"?
Like 9 times out of 10 when I see a male presenting ttrpg player, they have a beard. Right? Especially Dungeon Masters.
So what do we have? Funky glasses? Dice jewelry? Maybe we are too cool to need a *thing*?

Fellow Game Masters - got any reading recommendations, books that have improved your game running skills?
My top two books so far are "The Monsters Know What They're Doing" and "The Game Master's Guide to Proactive DMing."

After a fabulous day at a peaceful protest, it's now time for my #FabulaUltima game! Come join us at twitch.tv/roninsdenpodcast and find out why my character went missing at the end of last session!
Just finished my first session of 2e #dungeonsanddragons! Delightful. Scary, but delightful. I'm a fan of the little details, and Thac0 isn't that bad. My Cleric survived the first fight and got extra XP for making sure we didn't kill the surviving bandits. ๐
Last night I rolled up Lark, a princess with the Healing Touch gift, for a game of Perils and Princesses. While I fully admit that I often make cinnamon roll characters... this time it wasn't my fault! I rolled randomly for everything except her gift! #ttrpgs
Nice! I hope it goes well!
Selfish of a woman wearing a yellow blazer, floral dress, and gold jewelry. Hair in an updo, makeup done, smiling. Wearing a seatbelt.
#D&D and other TTRPG fans - have you included a ball or other fancy party in your game? (Or played in a game where one occurred?) Hiw did it go? I'm all dressed up for a wedding today and it reminded me of the 2 times I've had my players go to a fancy occasion.
Hi there fellow #ttrpg players! Have any games you're looking forward to this weekend? I was sad, thinking didn't have any, but then I remembered I've got a session 0 for a Perils and Princesses game on Sunday! And I need to make two more characters for a 2nd Ed D&D game that is starting on Monday.
Sorry I disappeared for a few weeks there - end of school year always hits hard.
I am planning on a *lot* of gaming this summer! DnD, Fabula Ultima, Perils and Princesses, MotW, Brindlewood Bay... some as player, some as GM. I look forward to lots of fun anecdotes and takeaways to share! #ttrpgs
Going live soon for our Fabula Ultima game! Come say hi in the chat, or catch the video on youtube tomorrow. ๐๐งก #ttrpg

Tonight at 9:30pm eastern time I'll be playing my magical girl Selene in our ongoing #fabulaultima
campaign! She loves to talk to animals, throws around light and healing spells, and just learned she is prophesied to save the moon? Drop in and say hi!

I know I don't owe anyone an explanation. And I know I am small, so probably few people will see this. I hope that, if anything, this will remind people that there are many reasons people make content... and don't make content. Creators are multifaceted human beings.
3. In dark times, it is even more important to find light. My content creation has (almost) always focused on positivity, creativity, fun. I need this more than ever right now.
1. I'm not an expert. I'd rather post and share things from people who know more than me, who say it better, who are able to do the research.
2. I have to consider my job, my family, my life. And I am scared for all of those things.
I've been asked why I don't use my platform(s) to make more political content.
It's a valid question. I repost and share a lot, but my own posts/videos/etc tend to not be political in nature.
So here's why.
Is it possible to have a #ttrpg hangover?
Most sessions I run or play in these days are 2-3 hours. Yesterday I played in 2 back to back, for a total of just under 7 hours... and I'm wiped out!
Worth it, but... may need to consider this for future scheduling.
About to go live for our #fabulaultima campaign! Drop in and say hi, and watch me be the goofy magical girl Selene!

I am beyond excited to have *two* TTRPG sessions today! ... and also hoping I can maintain that energy for 8 hours. ๐
Guess what?
The kickstarter for The Cunning Folk TTRPG is going live March 31st ๐

3 I couldn't possibly have plans to disrupt this peaceful little village next week, could I? ๐
2 When they found the pickle jar that caused all the hubbub and worked out the magical ritual to make it stop, everyone laughed. ๐งต
Last night my players solved a minor magical mystery in their village. They ran around the map I created talking to various npcs, gathering information, and eliminating possible answers. ๐งต

A corner of the map of the Village of Haven. The Shimmershell home is labeled, as is the home of an NPC named Garrett Stormrider. The eastern gate in the village wall is visible, as is the river and two large trees. There is a stone bridge across the river.
And here's a closer up version of one corner.
Screenshot of a gridded map of the village of Haven. The village has a river running through it and is surrounded by a stone wall. There are several large trees, a central square bordered by shops, and a well for fresh water.
Here's one!
I do a lot less prep for my games these days, more comfy with improv and leaving space for player actions.
Except for when I get obsessed with a mapbuilding program and spend 5 hours mapping out the village my current campaign is based out of... cause it's so pretty.
Made me happy, so it's a win!
One more day to get in on this!!
Oh hey I just realized I can enter here too!
