In London, hate will never win.
I used my credit card figuring it was probably the safest option. I have the company name, but actually the government already has online technology that verifies identity. That links to already verified ID such as your passport or driving license. Wouldnāt it be better if that was used?
Yes, and I used them with my own children but not everyone does for various reasons.
I hadnāt been on here for a while but thank you Kelly I had a lovely day! š

Interestingly, I had to verify my age to get on this app. It didnāt take long and actually, why not do this online? No different to asking for ID when someone buys alcohol- or should we let 13 year olds have unrestricted access to that now?

If anyone wants some ideas on how to save the British university sector, here are the emergency actions I would take to buy at least a bit of time to restructure the system entirely. š
I think some people hear āgrantsā and think that without them, scientists and government workers just have less stuff to play with at work. But grants fund salaries for students, academics, researchers, and people who work in all areas of public service.
āPausingā grants means people donāt eat.
Time to post this again
To be fair, the French call the English Channel La Manche, the direct translation of which is āthe sleeveā, and we donāt hold that against them!

Shoutout to my fellow autistics who donāt do the nazi salute, accidental or otherwise, who don't abuse women or anybody else for that matter and blame it on autism.
I am so thrilled about the announcement that MKās new womenās and childrenās hospital will finally be delivered.
We were promised the hospital over and over by the previous government and previous Tory MPs, but funding was never even put aside for it.
No more broken promises!
Iāll get there. Currently reposting Labour stuff but not much else. It was handy to DM M&S the other day though!

Not just MPs of course. People donāt seem to realise the risks MPs and their staff face, and the value of somewhere safe to unwind, which is not necessarily full of people drinking subsidised alcohol as assumed in some of the replies.
Perhaps because the people who work there would like somewhere safe to unwind after work? The incident happened at 6.30pm.
There are a lot of changes the US could make to their politics, but surely putting the inauguration in a better season would be a good idea (after Trump) ? š
