250 years ago Boston had its first Town Meeting after the British evacuation on March 17, 1776. Records survive in City Archives, showing Boston's long history of democracy. As we celebrate 250 years of American Independence the Election Department will share more historic moments from City records.

We enjoyed registering voters and recruiting poll workers at the Mayor's Office Hours in Roxbury last night. Community events are a great way to find us, but you can also register to vote or become a poll worker online at boston.gov/election

Vote-by-Mail and Absentee Ballots must reach the Election Dept. or a Drop Box by 8 p.m. tonight, Tuesday, November 4, 2025, to be counted. You can vote in person if your ballot has not yet been delivered to the Election Department. For a list and map of drop boxes, visit boston.gov/vote-by-mail

Today is the last day of Early Voting! Early Voting Location - Friday, October 31 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. City Hall Haymarket Room

Today is the last day to vote early! Today, Friday, October 31, you can vote early at City Hall from 9-5. If you can't make it to City Hall today you can still vote on Tuesday, November 4. Click "Check your voting registration status" on boston.gov/election to see your polling location.

Early voting on Thursday, October 30 from 12 p.m. to 8 p.m. at Saint Nectarios Greek Orthodox Church, Florian Hall, and BCYF Tobin Community Center. Early voting from 9 a.m. to 8 p.m. at City Hall.
