Oh yeah that new one is awful. It doesn’t even look enhanced, it looks like generative-ai-you

I went to check, and…. It’s not the image I was referring to… wat.

“Because ChatGPT told me it was a good idea”… sets a “fun” legal precedent either way.

Came here to suggest something about Sam Neil going on about not needing eyes… but glad you got it covered :)

I’d be willing to bet he thought this was a “see how powerful and insightful it is” take.

Not to kink shame, but sock puppet bluesky accounts is a pretty niche fetish :)

Without fail the crypto companies seem to use the “treading on rakes” method to find out why the fiat banking system has those pesky rules.

I just heard from someone in the US that it simply isn’t getting coverage in the media. So people that get their news from TV or in print simply do not know. Not sure how true that is, but maybe someone in the US could verify?

I think I'm blanking out here. You know the red string, conspiracy theory, "vision board"... thing?

What is the proper name for that board?

It would probably be more effective to give those bodycams to members of the public instead.

I know that's wrong for a bunch of other reasons, not a serious suggestion :)

I can't work out if I never knew that lockdown mode included the external device part, or if I simply forgot. Either way, that's a bit of a win!

The number of "signal is down, use this sketchy app my mate wrote, it's more bettererer anyway" posts is ridiculous too.

Oh another brand… I’d class alert fatigue as being dismissive of real alerts, because of the amount of bullshit coming in so they get missed essentially. Being overwhelmed/overloaded is definitely still a thing with high volume of high quality imho.

I think it's an "it depends" deal. I think fatigue is less about volume per say, and more about the volume of false-positive or non-actionable alerts. That is, alerts for which mostly consume time with no useful outcomes.

Actually no, I know what it reminds me of. It looks like the sort of bollocks that Elon would trot out.

Me too! I keep typing things then have to delete them because I get paranoid that I’m missing the obvious joke somehow.

It’s like a “best of” bad tech bro ideas. All it needs is an NFT.
