Counterculture author Tom Robbins has died His first novel, “Another Roadside Attraction,” was published in 1971 when Robbins was 39 -- more than three decades after declaring to his parents, at age 5, that he’d be a writer.

Oh, man, I used to study Tom Robbins' writing techniques very carefully. Never could master them, but what I learned helped my own copywriting career tremendously.

I don't think he'd want to Rest In Peace. Hope he spends eternity with a genius waitress.

In 1983 Reagan watched The Day After, a TV movie about nuclear war. ‘Greatly depressed’ the previously hawkish President reached out to Gorbachev. Both realised the arms race was madness. The result was a reduction in nuclear warheads from 70k-12.5k. Stories can save the world.
