Post from some guy on Threads:

I'm unemployed for 1 year and one of the things that I do with my free time is building a web browser with Electron, Typescript and React.

One of it's core design features is to adapt the browser colors to the colors of the website the user is interacting with, but of course, there are also some useful features that I'm not sure if they are legal 😅

The project is being maintained by myself in a private repository on GitHub.

I plan to make it public and open-source when v1 is finished.

This guy is building a web browser as an Electron app. He’s building a web browser inside of a different web browser.

This is the type of mental illness vibe coding will give us in the future.

April 2026 Outage Post-Mortem - Jim's Pckt Hey all! I'm Jim, and I do system-y things at Bluesky. I'm here to give you some details about what happened on Monday of this week that caused Bluesky to go...

I wrote a short post-mortem on the Bluesky outage we had on Monday. First time using pckt, it was a really nice experience tbh!

He literally said *yesterday* that he was considering a “joint venture” to help Iran charge people for using the Strait.

He said the day before that he didn’t care if they made a little money off of it.

Someone give pawpaw his dementia meds.

“we’re currently clean on opsec” behavior

Yes, surely people invented all of these modern conveniences because life was simply too good and they wanted to make things harder for themselves, as a treat. Not content with simply enjoying their lives, they decided they needed to spend time and energy researching ways to make their lives worse.

“the agreement said the us and its allies would stop”

ok but like… did the allies agree to that? because they’re not america and we don’t control them.

this seems less like a violation of a ceasefire and more like there just isn’t a ceasefire for other countries besides america.

so wait was israel a party to the “negotiations” around the ceasefire at all? did they agree to it? how can a ceasefire between two parties, america and iran, be violated by a third party? that doesn’t make any sense.

of course the easiest way to get Trump to agree to literally anything no matter how bad it is is to just tell him he can make money on it

Continuing Crisis in Strait of Hormuz: Why Iran’s Hold is Illegal and U.S. Military Force Alone Fails Former US Navy Commander, JAGC provides a legal and operational update on the Strait of Hormuz crisis amid Iran’s shipping blockage and tolls.

Current situation in the Strait of Hormuz is untenable.

The Strait is not "open."

The Iranian toll-collection regime, left in place by Trump-Hegseth deal, is "in flagrant violation of the law of the sea.”

Trump lapel pin-wearing bootlicker Brendan Carr went from writing "A newsroom’s decision about what stories to cover and how to frame them should be beyond the reach of any government official" in 2021 to threatening outlets he doesn't even regulate over completely accurate reporting in 2026.

Just a reminder, the FCC, and by extension, Chairman Brendan Carr have literally no power to regulate political content on a cable network.

Not some, in a limited circumstance when conditions align.

None. None what-so-ever. Tell him to go pound sand.

The president “ordering” them to pull a story is vile. Impeach this unconstitutional clown and get him out of office already.

Alright let's see. In 2019 Trump was angrily posting about the 1.8 billion in cash the Obama administration gave Iran in 2016.

1.8 billion divided by 2 million is 900. Prior to the start of this war, about 135 ships went through the Strait of Hormuz every day.
