It shouldn’t be dependent on employment or economic status.
It shouldn’t be something you have to fight for.

The people who don’t view housing as a human right are those who believe they will always have housing.
They can’t fathom becoming disabled, losing their savings or their support network.
They can’t imagine having everything ripped away from them.
They think they’re the exception.
They’re not.
When you provide people with healthcare, food and housing … their lives change.
Their health improves.
They’re happier.
They’re able to show up in the world.
When basic needs aren’t being met everything else falls apart.
We are all worthy of care and safety.

They should be paid whatever the poverty wage is and get the same insurance as the poor. I suspect things might improve for the people then. Sadly, money is a weapon and it causes a lot of harm and worse. I keep wondering if our species can evolve past this barbarism, greed, cruelty, and violence.
