This was my understanding as well. However, they are being intentionally obtuse on how this will work for updated COVID/flu vaccines
God, Elon can't even BUILD something that likes him....
My God they’re beefing with cats
Due process is the fundament of our Constitution - full stop. It’s enshrinement in the Bill of Rights guarantees everyone a day in court. To ignore this is to ignore our most basic principles of freedom and liberty.

No a re-design, but my Superman studio for the ‘Superman: Treasury Edition 2025 Hero For All’ @dc.com
“The Death and Life of Superman” by Roger Stern adapts many 1990’s DC comics storylines. Attempting to capture decades of Superman history in one novel, this confusing and sometimes offensive book can’t be saved by Roger’s punchy action writing. 2.5/5, would rec to desperate Superman fans. 💙📚
how many parenthesis (punctuation sign to indicate unsaid portions for context) can we (the people who are reading this and/or write words) fit into one blueskeet (the informal way to refer to posts on the social media (online platform for opinions and content) bluesky)
Man, remember when measles was eliminated?? Those were the days.
My piece on the measles outbreak and the bungling that our administration is currently doing:
Finally back from self-imposed exile! Been super busy with work and also broke my hand lol. Went to conference in Chicago, which was awesome! Love science.
Got my cast off, feeling reinvigorated! Keep your eyes peeled for another hot lichletter piece dropping later today 😮💨😮💨😮💨

Mon-El is the absolute hero of the New Kandor run. His final scene in that arc is a masterpiece. One of my lowkey fave heroes. Happy late birthday!
Video of the international student at Tufts being arrested by "federal authorities" in Massachusetts has been released and it's terrifying.
They're not even uniformed officers. Just secret police thugs in hoodies and masks.

“Batman Begins” is a novelization of the first movie made by Christopher Nolan. This book is surprisingly well written, but it isn’t that surprising, once you learn it’s written by comic legend Denny O’Neil. 4.25/5, this book is a wonderful, action-packed addition to the Batman Nolan movie.

#FolkloreThursday Royal Mail has unveiled a set of stamps featuring mythical creatures and fabled figures from UK folklore.
Designed by London-based artist Adam Simpson, the illustrations include the Loch Ness Monster, Cornish piskies, and Beowulf and Grendel. www.bbc.com/news/article...
Cover of Great Expectations. Classic ink drawing of an older man confronting a young boy in a cemetery.
“Great Expectations” by Charles Dickens is about wealth and character. Following the raise in class of the orphaned Pip, Dickens writes a fun and somewhat rambling tale about what makes someone good. 3.75/5, a wonderful and light 19th century novel
Fun but a sloggish read! 💙📚

New substack this week! Writing more philosophical on the relationship of science and society. Hope ya like!
98% of NIH grants that should have gone out this month, didn't. Despite court orders 'unfreezing' the funds, they are frozen. Biomedical research will grind to a halt. Clinical trials will end. All for no reason: the total impact on the US budget is miniscule
Fun fact: This study is highly misrepresented and recent critiques have found Milgram to likely have changed the study to his benefit!

So depressing to be in science right now :(
Everyone is so stressed and worried they’ll get fired. Where do you go if your entire field gets eliminated? Just horrible.
Trump’s latest NIH change is catastrophic to science. I’m not sure how else to put it.
Science in the US will die if these changes to into effect.
Why would the White House point to demonstrably false examples of waste to justify ending one of the most successful government programs in existence?
