Danny raises an eyebrow. He didn't realize it already?
"Uh... yeah?"
Half-ghost technically, but he didn't need to know that.
"Yeah, I seem to do that a lot these days."
Danny admits with a small chuckle.
"Oh, but uh... ghosts, usually. It's... sort of a daily thing we all have to deal with."

"Oh yeah? Try Amity Park."
He says this with a smile, his arms crossed as he floats above the other.
"Always do."
He offers a small smile then.
"My friends, Sam and Tucker do. As well as my sister Jazz."
Not many people can, unfortunately, he thinks.
"Thanks... I'll keep that in mind."
He appreciates it, really.
"Oh. Huh... I didn't know it was a dog's name."
"You have a dog named Danny?"
"Yeah, I know..."
Danny's surprised he still is, honestly. He figured he wouldn't care by now.
"You don't know the half of it..."
"If any of the people I fight were to learn about my family, I could put them in even more danger than they already face."
Danny takes a deep breath, running a hand through his hair.
"I don't want them to find out... it'd be better for everyone if I just kept this a secret."
arch enemy has one too, and there's no way he'd close his either.
"I don't think that's the problem. The problem is them being in danger because of me..."
He frowns. Not to mention he wonders if they'll still want to dissect him if he reveals himself.
"Besides, there's no way they'll close the portal for good. They've worked too hard on it..."
Also his -
Danny lets out a small sigh.
"I'm... sort of... half-ghost?"
He says, rubbing the back of his neck. Cat's out of the bag now.
"I turned into one when I entered the ghost portal."
He conveniently leaves out the part where he was electrocuted by pressing the on button inside.
"I hear screaming..."
anyone if he told him.
Danny stares up at him, quiet as well. He could just walk away, but that would just prove there was something more to hide. There was really no way out of this, huh? He takes a deep breath.
"If anyone found out, I don't know what might happen..."
He says, almost like he's asking him not to tell -
"Because, I-"
Danny closes his mouth then. He really didn't want to tell this guy about his secret identity. He barely knew him, after all.
He frowns. This guy was too observant for his own good. Then again, Danny was just a teenager that wasn't all that good at lying. It's a wonder that he's managed to keep it a secret for as long as he has.
"No, they don't... and I plan to keep it that way."
Danny stares up at the other, before looking away to stare at the patch of ground where the ash from his cigarette was flicked. His silence speaks volumes.
"It's not as bad as it sounds, really."
He tries to say, though even he has to admit that it sounds pathetic.
his age.
"I'm 14. Why?"
Danny wasn't about to let his secret identity slip so easily.
"I... don't know what you're talking about."
He lies, like always.
"But my parents are professional ghost hunters. They made a ghost portal a while back that links the Ghost Zone to ours."
He narrows his eyes a little when he asks -
way his blue eyes dart around, and his fast speech is a dead giveaway.
Danny sighs, crossing his arms.
"You'll have to talk to my parents about that one... usually the portal stays closed, but they always manage to find a way out."
When the other gestures to him, he tenses up in slight panic.
"Uh, what? What do you mean?"
He quickly tries to cover it up, but the -
