A sunny day off visit to Rutupiae for the first time in about 30 years......

Obviously i can't comment on the town of Glenrothes..... but the film certainly reminded me i really need to get up there to see more of the Highlands.

Day off, popped to see 'Glenrothan'; sentimental and slightly predictable but nonetheless enjoyable. A marvellous advert for Scotland's Highland beauty ; a reminder that sibling rifts really should be resolved; Cox and Cumming carry it well; finally, Shirley Henderson is bloody wonderful.

Bet those pants have some stories to tell.....

Certainly agree that it's possibly taken me perhaps 30, 40, 50 years to really "get it". Punk did change me for all sorts of reasons and in many ways it still continues to.

In Margate, we had Maurice. I'm sure Margate Blueskyers will recall him. He was an old Dreamland employee. Had some terrific ghost stories. I first met him in the 70s when the Sunshine Rooms was a punk club. He never seemed to age. Rode around on his bike, known as Mr Margate by some.

Practically what i spent on 4 mogwai tickets in February. And much less fun 😆
