The only scams I'm aware of are in impersonating other people and requesting transfers.

You always have to transfer via your bank app (all banks have to support it) to somebody's "Pix", which is a key like their email or phone number, so this is the information people give you. When people present a QR code they lead you to your bank app where you'd then confirm the transfer.

Common occurrence in Brazil since 2021 (when Pix, a national, free, instant money transfer service, started running).
