We're properly funding local councils so they can deliver the services families depend on.

The constituency garden of remembrance in Parliament, which is on the front lawn. There are small, black plastic name cards with each constituency written on. Behind a few of the name cards are small wooden stakes with red poppies on and handwritten messages from MPs. The lawn is lush and green and a small border of wooden stakes with paper poppies stuck to every other stake surrounds the garden.

This week I had the privilege of planting a stake in Parliament's Constituency Garden of Remembrance to commemorate the fallen of Chipping Barnet.

We will never forget their sacrifice, commitment, and bravery – it is through their service that we enjoy the freedoms we hold dear today.

Very much enjoyed participating in this event hosted by @uclpolicylab.bsky.social at #Lab25 conference yesterday.

Lots of interesting and thoughtful ideas from both panel and audience alike on how we can spread opportunity across the country - this govt is committed to making this happen!

Barnet Police Station should be open to our community.

Great to meet with residents at Osidge Library. These one-to-one surgeries are a vital part of the job.

I'll be continuing my work with the council and parliamentary colleagues on special educational needs provision to ensure every child gets the support they deserve.

Wonderful to visit Oak Hill School and meet headteacher Kevin Grant to discuss their excellent work.

I had the chance to meet some of the dedicated staff, and incredibly bright and engaged students. I’m really impressed by how they're teaching and nurturing their 50 pupils.

The Post Office has now opened its public consultation on the High Barnet branch, which we saved from closure earlier this year.

The proposed new site will remain on the High Street, a one-minute walk away from its current home. (1/3)

This appointment gives me another platform to fight for the change we all voted for, both locally and nationally.

Both national work and local representation are essential to an effective government, and with this role I have the opportunity to shape policy and enact change that will benefit our community, and communities across the country.

This week I was appointed Exchequer Secretary to HM Treasury - an honour I don't take lightly.
This is a role that allows me to champion Chipping Barnet at the highest levels of government whilst continuing to fight for better living standards and opportunities for everyone, in every part of the UK.

What a privilege to celebrate the Barnet Environment Centre's 50th anniversary.

Had a fantastic time speaking at their birthday party and touring the nature reserve. Amazing to think over 2,500 children visited last year - a wonderful place for young people in Barnet to connect with nature!

Remembering the bravery and determination of World War II Dan Tomlinson MP on Barnet marking the 80th anniversary of VE Day

On VE Day, we think of all those in Barnet who served our country in WW2. People like Ruth Bourne, 98, from High Barnet. Ruth worked at Bletchley Park in Buckinghamshire, in an all-female secret team pulled together by the British government, where the codebreakers intercepted Nazi messages.
