I guess I do be dropping lore 🤷♀️
My students accused me of “dropping lore” because I told them on the last day of class that I grew up in the UK.
They’re the best and I adore them. Young people rule.
any advice from writers for when you desperately need to start writing something but you can't because you're terrified of it being terrible
Extremely cursed mug.
Mug of great Supreme Court cases
Nothing gets me out of bed in the morning like Dred Scott
I’ve wondered about having a @runforsomething.net kind of unit in the course. There’s no reason our grads shouldn’t consider a run for office.
cc: anyone wondering why I’m so devoted to having Legislation & Regulation in the 1L curriculum!
Exciting news! @free.law project is scanning America's case law, picking up from where Harvard left off free.law/2026/04/16/s...
“They absolutely impounded. He just lied to America,” Sen. Jeff Merkley (D-OR), ranking member of the Senate Budget Committee, told TPM in response to Vought’s remarks.

I want a "conference" where every academic cooks a dish for everyone and we all talk about our work casually while cooking. People can sous chef for each other. We eat and talk about our work in progress. You submit an abstract and a recipe.
Yah. I’ll worry more when we get into @$%#!! Level of punctuation.
This thread is just the latest example of why, for me, Bluesky has the juice.
Happy Tax Day folks. As I pointed out here, the technical arguments about having free tax filing is over. Direct File proved it. What we are seeing now is just rent-seekers bribing policymakers to be allowed to keep extracting money from you.

So maybeeeee idk let’s pace ourselves before we enmesh certain kinds of AI stuff into K-12 & higher education?????
JUST IN: John Eastman, the conservative attorney who helped devise President Trump's last ditch strategy to overturn the 2020 presidential election, has officially been disbarred, per the California Supreme Court:
Well not all in one go!
Sounds like we need to try them all to be sure?

The 1Ls from my first year at Ohio State will graduate next month and I am in my feelings about it. ♥️💕
What a privilege it is to work with brilliant young people and help them grow into attorneys.
In other words, impoundment was never legal. The first time it was adjudicated, they lost. The ICA didn't make impoundment illegal. It was always illegal.
Vought is now illegally impounding tens of billions of dollars.
Vought responds with his incorrect line that presidents had been impounding for 200 years, until the ICA came along and "wrongly" took away the president's ability to impound.
This is completely ahistoric. Will take a few tweets to respond fully.
The Russ Vought hearing is starting now. It's the first time Vought has testified before Congress since his confirmation hearings, so it's the first time Congress will be able to question him about the onslaught of illegal budgetary actions he has undertaken. I'll be posting in this thread.
