So heartbreaking to hear 💔 I've only known her through social networks but she's been such a wonderful human in our interactions. She'll be very missed.
Sadly thanks to the AI boom it's way less accessible. 4 years ago they cost me 7K each to build (would have been 17K out of the box), supposedly new RAM prices make that 2-3x now 🙃
But I take your point, it's EXTRA cool that access to this level of data processing isn't majorly exclusive
Just a program that classifies DNA sequences. But really I'm taken by how ridiculously fast and the huge files that informatics programs and modern hardware can handle
Fine, "high end workstation"
Not specifically, just how freaking fast computational tools handle such huge data, and how massive supercomputers are.
I will never not find this cool
Yea little brothers everywhere beg to differ 😆

Thanks 🫶🏻 Just sucks watching her degrade into a purely mechanical state.
Watching doggy dementia progress is so damn painful 💔

Don't taco Tuesday this shit. Millions of people spent the day wondering if they would get vaporized, and no one in our government stood up to him. Nothing cutesy about it.

i sincerely think it's pretty awesome that so many of his videos are "look at this important but invisible aspect of city gov that can help you, isn't it great?"
we really need it as an antidote to reflexive reagan-era "how dare the government try to improve life for regular people" attitudes
"The struggle of figuring out the right analysis approach, wrestling with an unexpected result, or trying to turn a messy set of findings into a coherent story is not an obstacle to learning. It _is_ the learning".

Lolllll this thread and the comments 🤣
So you're telling me Claude functions by screaming at itself "WRITE GOOD CODE NO BUGS SECURE VERY STABLE", mashes compile button, reads back the error and yells ONLY GOOD CODE NO BUGS at itself again while crying and copying random things from Stack Overflow until it compiles?
it just like me fr fr

Just cruisin' down PCH with sand between your toes and a little crispy from all day in the sun and that base line hits....
