Conservatives upset that a majority Liberal government wants to stop them from using committees to obstruct & grandstand, which was actually at one time published by the CPC as a handbook to harass the operations of the House of Commons (gift article). #cdnpoli www.thestar.com/gift-redeem?...
"Pierre Poilievre’s description of the Liberal majority as “fabricated, manufactured, dirty” does “a disservice to Canadians’ understanding of what parliamentary democracy is about and the principles that underlie it,” and “doesn’t belong in Canada.” #cdnpoli
Polling Canada seat projection as of April 11, 2026 puts the Liberals at 224 seats compared to the CPC at 89.
People who go on about how Carney has stolen a majority and it is somehow illegitimate should look at the current popular sentiment expressed as a seat count if an election were held today. #cdnpoli
Don't forget salt.
The American charm offensive continues. U.S. Commerce Secretary Howard Lutnick attacked Canada’s trade strategy on Friday, saying, “They suck.” #cdnpoli

I was at that speech yesterday. He spent 95% of it disparaging Carney. #cdnpoli
Screenshot of an article from Bloomberg. The headline reads: IMF Sees Canada's Fiscal Position as Strongest in Group of Seven.
Our plan is creating more certainty, more security, and more prosperity for all Canadians.
What happened to his bitchin' shag van? #ONpoli
It was electric.
I’m someone’s guest at a Pierre Poilievre lunch speech today. Of course they put me up front. It’s pretty much what I expected - Ayn Randian grievance populism and a passing acquaintance with the facts. #cdnpoli
Tariff refunds flow back to China? It was U.S. importers that paid the illegal Trump tariffs, not China. Are we still playing pretend about this?
To be fair, JD Vance has been a Catholic for 7 years now, so the Pope could learn a thing or two from him.
During a press conference on Wednesday, Prime Minister Mark Carney joked about taking back a positive comment on Conservative Leader Pierre Poilievre after learning he had called him "badly educated in economics." #Canada #Cdnpoli
Tonda MacCharles: Pierre Poilievre called you badly educated in economics
Mark Carney: Did he? Wow.
Huh. I wondered who Trump's friendly horned demon was. Turns out it is Baal and not Hawkman like I thought.
Wow. If I knew he'd block me I would have been a lot ruder.
Someone lose a contact?
I think there's a simpler explanation of why everyone is leaving you. #cdnpoli
You know I knew that Door Dash woman looked familiar
Thanks for the input.
Democracy comes in many flavours. In a regional country like Canada PR would result in perpetual, short-lived, gridlocked, minority governments. It is mostly the pipe dream of the NDP and extreme right wing parties which can't command enough seats in any other way to be relevant.
I am so fed up with all the floor-crossing political nattering. In the Westminster system the Prime Minister is the person who can command a majority of votes in the House, wherever they come from. That makes a government legitimate. #cdnpoli
The Pitt, with everyone in Jesus robes.

The thing about AI-generated images is you have to tell them exactly what elements and imagery you want. If you say "I want an image of me as a Red Cross doctor", you see someone with a stethoscope and a red cross somewhere. AI images are created according to instructions. You get what you ask for.
I'm not sure God's plan was for him to bang a staffer which drove her to commit suicide. Doesn't sound like God's style.
