Conservatives upset that a majority Liberal government wants to stop them from using committees to obstruct & grandstand, which was actually at one time published by the CPC as a handbook to harass the operations of the House of Commons (gift article). #cdnpoli www.thestar.com/gift-redeem?...

"Pierre Poilievre’s description of the Liberal majority as “fabricated, manufactured, dirty” does “a disservice to Canadians’ understanding of what parliamentary democracy is about and the principles that underlie it,” and “doesn’t belong in Canada.” #cdnpoli

People who go on about how Carney has stolen a majority and it is somehow illegitimate should look at the current popular sentiment expressed as a seat count if an election were held today. #cdnpoli

I’m someone’s guest at a Pierre Poilievre lunch speech today. Of course they put me up front. It’s pretty much what I expected - Ayn Randian grievance populism and a passing acquaintance with the facts. #cdnpoli

Tariff refunds flow back to China? It was U.S. importers that paid the illegal Trump tariffs, not China. Are we still playing pretend about this?

Democracy comes in many flavours. In a regional country like Canada PR would result in perpetual, short-lived, gridlocked, minority governments. It is mostly the pipe dream of the NDP and extreme right wing parties which can't command enough seats in any other way to be relevant.

I am so fed up with all the floor-crossing political nattering. In the Westminster system the Prime Minister is the person who can command a majority of votes in the House, wherever they come from. That makes a government legitimate. #cdnpoli

The thing about AI-generated images is you have to tell them exactly what elements and imagery you want. If you say "I want an image of me as a Red Cross doctor", you see someone with a stethoscope and a red cross somewhere. AI images are created according to instructions. You get what you ask for.
