I’ll go first: everyone who posts about wanting to play more D&D/TTRPGs should try GM-ing.

Yeah, sometimes the only time my brain wants to be creative for TTRPGs is right before bed too haha.

I highly recommend giving being a DM a try! It’s more work than being a player, but it can be very rewarding. And there are ways to make it easier on yourself.

The event was on a college campus, so it was out of world trivia about the history of the university. The adventure took place in a magical version of the campus.

I once ran a one-shot for an event where instead of a fight, the ghost of a history professor gave the players a trivia-style pop quiz in order to get the item it possessed. As a GM, it was a fun change of pace

The state of the world has made me realize that the BBEGs in my games are not nearly evil enough.

I personally prefer “banana hammock” but that’s neither here nor there.

TTRPGs are amazing machines for helping people exercise free will, and occasionally magic and dinosaurs are involved.

I like it! Creatures like that remind me of Monster Hunter-themed campaigns, or at least that’s how I’d use them.
