I try to discourage card payments at my shop because square charges over 5% to run a card. I can't afford to eat that so I have to forward it and with some expensive jobs that adds up to a lot. I like that Zelle is becoming more common since it doesn't charge anything.

I stopped by to pick up a reason.
I made dust collector hoods for my buffing wheel out of a pair of trash cans I picked up at Daiso (Japanese dollar store). This thing is a big offender as far as dust so this will hopefully make that issue a lot less of a problem.

A photo of a black t-shirt with an image of Alan a Dale, the rooster bard from Disney’s 1973 animated film Robin Hood, playing a lute, and the text in an Old English looking typeface reading “Anyway, here’s Wonderwall”

Not at this time. I pulled it, reglued it and recut the nut slots so it doesn’t pinch. Did a full setup on the guitar. It plays fine.
Interesting I hadn’t heard that.
And too tight. I did a video on this one that I just posted
Yup
The closest thing it has to that is the truss rod cover.
I just uploaded a video about tight nut slots and why they hurt your ability to stay in tune.

A 69 would be firmly mid century.
There are a lot of lutes with a similar design and playing style as well.
The strings on the neck are the ones that are played.
They usually act as drone bass strings.
It’s weird to me that my first guitar that I bought in 1999 is a turn of the century instrument.
The clamp is currently involved in regluing a section of the transverse brace.
Turn of the century harp guitar.
Not something you see everyday!
This thing needs SO much work...It fell off a wall hanger.

They resell for like $5k so someone must like them.
Why not?
Nope, it's very real.
That's probably true.
The body is a bit hollow but id say like a thin line at best. There is no flex in the top.
I am not sure.
I didn't realize she had an account here! Instafollow.
I don’t think Martin uses are as rare as these. I have had a bunch of those come into the shop over the years but this is the first Ricky banjo I have ever seen.
its pretty unique.
I have some video I will post later.
