Overnight road work is scheduled for Mon, Sep 8 & Tues, Sep 9 from 9p to 6a. The southbound lane of Jamaica Ave between the two roundabouts under Hwy 61 will be closed. The SB lane of traffic in this area will reopen each morning on Mon and Tues. Traffic detour pictured below.

An arrest was made in the early morning hours of Sunday, July 27, 2025 of the person who allegedly fired the gun, Landon Robert Smith, who was transported to the Washington County jail pending charges. The gun that was used in the incident was recovered. 5/8
During that encounter, an alleged attempted robbery occurred and the person selling the cartridges shot at the two subjects who were there to purchase the items. 4/8
Investigators worked throughout the night to identify and locate individuals believed to be involved. It was determined that the individuals allegedly involved were known to one another and were meeting to purchase THC cartridges. 3/8

Initial findings confirm that numerous spent shell casings and live rounds were located in the area. Thankfully, no injuries were reported. 2/8

Traffic on northbound Highway 61 south of Kingsboro Trail has been reduced to one lane.
MN State Patrol has been called in to conduct accident reconstruction.
Traffic is being re-routed from southbound Highway 61 to northbound Keats/19, then to eastbound 70th St to southbound Manning/95.
CG Public Safety are responding to an accident involving a vehicle on Hwy 61. Please avoid southbound Hwy 61 beginning at Kimbro Ave if you are able. It is unknown at this time how long this stretch of Highway 61 will be impacted. No further information is available at this time.

Construction will commence at the intersection of 65th Street and Idsen Avenue, and this initial phase will continue in that vicinity for the next few weeks.
During this period, access for Idsen Avenue residents will be limited. Crews will work with residents on Idsen to help them understand when work will be going past their driveways and which direction they should travel.
As part of the High Zone Raw Water Main project, starting Wednesday, June 25th, Idsen Avenue will undergo roadway reconstruction, resulting in a closure to through traffic. This essential work is anticipated to continue until approximately the end of August.
