Honestly the part that's so incredibly heart wrenching about the army aviation accident is knowing that this sort of thing could've happened to any one of my fellow female combat arms officers and yet the reaction would've been the exact same.

Yeah! I used an equal amount of bread flour and water. When I would feed it I would discard half of the starter and then feed it an equal amount of water and new flour (1:1:1) ratio. Sometimes it wouldn't be as active and I'd feed it like a 1:5:5 ratio of new flour and water to keep it super active.

The way this particular author writes, every 5-6 pages they mention the music changing in each scene and what artist and song name is currently playing. It keeps breaking the immersion for me. just say there was heavy metal playing in the car/kitchen wherever and keep it moving along...

I think that was pretty tame tbh

Nothing bothers me more than when authors put actual song names and artists in their storyline, like nobody needs to know that your "super edgy" and "alternative" main character listens to 5 finger death punch, now your book reads like bad fanfiction.
