Still looking for a great desktop app for Bluesky for my Mac. It's not easy.

I double Gary would have been okay with characters who prosthetic limbs, or other aids, unless that was their who character. And that needs to change. We need stories about people overcoming struggles, not suffering.

A person can suffer by no fault of their own, for no reason other than poor luck. And that doesn't make a hero. The struggle, the fight, the going on in spite of all this is what makes a hero. Suffering can inspire, but it should not mold.

And that's the trauma D&D needs to get past.

And that hit me. Struggle is not suffering. Struggles overcome are the benchmarks of life. If you're suffering, then something is WRONG. Hurting, fighting, in pain and plagued by self doubt, sure. That's a struggle. That's growth. But suffering? A person can suffer without any growth.

I had a moment of enlightenment recently in regards to D&D. It was a comment from a DMing question about letting people always take max HP on level up. The comment boiled down to
Gary Gygax though suffering built character, both in game and real life.

Mission unclear, bewbs.

Still debating how much of the Ryoko source book I want to bring over. I'm kinda tempted to bring some of the races, but I don' know if I want to make them playable or not.

I just made the first real music progress with guitar in my life. Yeah, I'm nearing midlife but that's not the cause. Think of it rather as the tragic of it took this long to find a learning style for music that didn't suck and brain my poor ADHD brain of will power.

Reminder that you probably want to turn OFF the RUDE label in the official Bluesky Moderation section of your Settings.

It's a ridiculous label that protects folks in power and punishes activists via tone policing.

It also defaults to HIDE which is CRAZY.

Any one have a web app that just lets me display a Heath Bar with NPC name? Preferably with controls so that players just see the health bar.
