Hi friends! This Valentine’s Day, I invite you to show some love—not just to the people in your life, but to those in need of critical medical care. I’m running the 2025 Boston Marathon on behalf of Tufts Medical Center, and your support can make a real difference. www.givengain.com/project/kenn...

Happy #GivingTuesday! Today, I’m proud to share a cause close to my heart: Tufts Medical Center. I’m running the 2025 Boston Marathon as part of Team Tufts MC, raising funds to advance clinical priorities, improve access to lifesaving care, and promote health equity. givengain.com/proje…

Some other ways that my plan will differ from most are due to practical issues with schedule. Some days of the week I have earlier standing meetings at work, for example, so that constrains how long I can run those mornings. I will write about other features of my training plan in future posts.
Years of experience have taught me that five days a week is the correct amount of days for me. Most marathon training plans call for six days a week, with a rest day before your once-a-week long run. I’ve found that my body responds better to taking a second rest day after the long run as well.
I am about two weeks or so from formally starting my training cycle for the Boston Marathon. This will be marathon number eight for me (first time for Boston), and I’ve never really shared thoughts on the whole process before. Since I am fundraising as part of this one, I figure I might share some.
Today is “Black Friday”. If you have someone in your life who is hard to shop for, why not donate something on their behalf instead? I am raising funds for Tufts Medical Center, and I hope you will consider it a great alternative way to give this season! www.givengain.com/project/kenn...
When I finished the Tokyo Marathon, I rode the bus back to the start area and was sitting next to a very nice 65+ woman who had finished the race like 30 minutes faster than me. I was still very happy with my result.
I made a test to see if a screen reader will still wait for the main thread to be unblocked before announcing already-visible HTML content and... yep. Making a page "paint" long before it's interactive makes a page feel faster for sighted users, but not everyone. We need some inclusive perf metrics.
No, Strava AI, the reason my pace was slower was not because I was “relaxed”. It was because most of the run was in the dark, using a headlamp to see, on roads I’ve never run on before.
I am running the 2025 Boston Marathon as a fundraiser to support Tufts Medical Center. Located in Boston, Tufts Medical Center offers comprehensive inpatient and outpatient services and is the principal teaching hospital for the Tufts University School of Medicine. www.givengain.com/project/kenn...
