France wildfire: Blaze is 'catastrophe on an unprecedented scale' The huge wildfire is the largest in France so far this year and has burned an area larger than Paris.

French Prime Minister François Bayrou says a huge, deadly wildfire sweeping through the south of France is a "catastrophe on an unprecedented scale".

Bayrou said the wildfire is linked to global warming and drought.

When I was little, the U.S. military came to our home at gunpoint and took me and my family away. We were imprisoned for years in barbed wire camps simply because we were Japanese American. I have spent my life telling that story, hoping it would never be repeated.

Being more thoughtful around waste, energy, pollutants & nature, isn't a 'nice to have' it's key to how our communities need to navigate coming years.

Trees also have a huge positive effect re shade for people in streets, cars, houses & gardens in the heat (& plants & wildlife).

Our Community (Sustainability) Hub model, takes an empty unit of a shopping centre and builds a welcoming community space. Enabling locals to swap key knowledge & skills.
