We're hiring a champion pro coach who has no experience with college, has no connection to the university, and has been cooling his heels as a commentator hoping to get back in the game. What could possibly go wrong, Dan? It seems like that's never, ever been done before.

Inside you are two teenage brain mentalities

One is I'm 14 and this is deep

The other is I'm 16 and nothing is deep

It's very important to remember they're both stupid kids and ignore them

I stand corrected. Saw someone steal home. Didn’t even know how much I’d wanted to see it until it happened.

Game #1 of 2026: Lehigh Valley Iron Pigs at Durham Bulls. Perfect night, great stadium. This is about all I could want.

The Durham Bulls don't seem to do any promotions on Wednesday nights... so consider me a fan of the Wednesday night game.

It's been a difficult year to be a UNC fan. But days like today can still make a fella smile.

But how long does an artist “own” an idea, especially given that we create in conversation and community with other artists?

This may be me thinking through the ethics of the Star Trek replicator.

I think, though, that I might like to have the Mona Lisa-- it's molecular reproduction-- in my possession for a little while. And I'd like to give it to someone else, too.

I honestly do not know the answer.

A thing I was thinking about today: suppose a tool could produce a reproduction of the Mona Lisa indistinguishable from the original at a molecular level. Suddenly everyone could own the Mona Lisa; no one could verify the original. Artist is long dead. Is this democratizing or is this awful?

Been listening to that first Rage Against the Machine album a lot. It's as good now as it was in the 90s.
