I think, though, that I might like to have the Mona Lisa-- it's molecular reproduction-- in my possession for a little while. And I'd like to give it to someone else, too.

I honestly do not know the answer.

A thing I was thinking about today: suppose a tool could produce a reproduction of the Mona Lisa indistinguishable from the original at a molecular level. Suddenly everyone could own the Mona Lisa; no one could verify the original. Artist is long dead. Is this democratizing or is this awful?

Been listening to that first Rage Against the Machine album a lot. It's as good now as it was in the 90s.
