Being a little kid is hard. Our two little kids are working on integrating with the uh, flock? (Not sure what we call a gaggle of bebes) our little black kitten is integrating a little easier, but this kid is a little more shy and taking it all in. Some of them just need a little more time
Our sweet, funny moo baby is still looking for their forever home. Snip day is scheduled now for May 🥳 this sweet boy loves everyone and gets along well with the whole crew, and recently found his love for finding the sunshine spot in the morning
Back on the road again to triage a mom and kids, and a fading Bebe. This year we’re trying to do a LOT more training and triage. Our need locally has exploded and the more fosters we teach the better!

Cats out of the bag. All of our big 5 have dibs called on them so far except for our moo kitty! We are officially opening adoption applications for him today ❤️ (and will not include extra dinner on his face with his adoption)

We lost our tiniest of tots this morning around 4. We came in Th with an infected eye but were hanging in there and still eating well until 3 am. We curled up with our stuffy after overnight feeding, and never got back up again.
Carol Baskins does not feel good today. Our eye infection that was almost gone has now turned into a goober ear infection overnight, so we remain in Bebe time out and don’t get friends yet 😞 we also haven’t 💩 in 2 days, so back on 💩 drugs we go. At least she has her emotional support stuffy
And then there were ten. We added another tiny tot, weighing in at a 90g. Little kiddo was orphaned and the finders did a great job of keeping her stable til we could them ❤️ we’ve got a swollen eye with some gunk but once we found our preferred nip size we pounded 4ml like a champ 💪🏼
This is the tired, raccoon eyed, up every 2 hours, haven’t washed my hair in 5 days, in a bathrobe, with a kitten who stepped in poop 😆 but these are the moments that make it worth it when they purr themselves to sleep on ya, and you know they feel safety, and are finally on their way to health

Weaning quest continues. Loud protests rise at the indignity at the humans request for them to use their mouth. Our first transitioned is now deeply offended that anyone else will eat out of the same bowl they did, a new atrocity they are forced to endure.
Well that’s one way to do it.

3 days old, so it’s going to be touch and go for a bit til they fully stabilize, but so far so good, we were very angry at the poking and prodding which is always a good sign
