Not impressed with Lille so far, honestly. If we could find another gear here we could absolutely punish them

I just don’t get it. I’d love to be wrong. I’d love for Lille to start one of those Ollie purple patches that propels us through the rest of the campaign. But we thought he got the spark earlier in the season and were wrong then.

Ollie could bang in a hat trick this evening and I would be absolutely chuffed. But there is no evidence that he is capable of doing so or sustaining any kind of form. Perhaps I’m risk averse, but if I must gamble, I’ll gamble on the unknown quantity. Not the one that’s been putting up stinkers. 😵‍💫

#AVFC did not press, but kept a ridiculous high line. They played on the break, but wanted to keep the ball. Missed chances don't help confidence, but you can't be that open and desperate so early on. For a team who've long been so tactically clear, this was so concerning odd
