can’t speak for all but for me (as an artist) instagram has always been a practice in layout & design & almost as if it were a color study, that said i also think there are different metrics of Perfect & Curated… algorithm also engineered to feed off of our insecurities and subsequent vanity.. so

fwiw i think devs have been in touch with journos about how to get more folks on here! even with an invite-code only model, the system broke when the big migration from twitter happened, so it’s still not equipped to handle that large of a userbase (yet). hope it gets better though
