I hate hearing: we need more businessmen in gov.
(Well, not failed & corrupt businessmen.)
But still, gov is not business, they work towards opposite means.
Business = profit/self-interest, not service.
when people say "this isn't what I voted for" they should be forced to list what they DID vote for
The snapback from all this can’t just be another normal Democratic presidency. If we somehow have a free election again we can’t do like Clinton/Obama/Biden and just go back to norms. The norms are literally how the right has been able to get so radical.

Booker: Strom Thurmond’s record always kind of just really irked me. That the longest speech on our great Senate floor was from someone who was trying to stop people like me from being in the Senate. So to surpass that became more important to me.
He wore the cheesehead hat in WI. Spent $20 million. Paid people to sign petitions. Paid people to canvas. Did million dollar giveaways. A rally. TV interviews. But I guess people in Wisconsin didn’t appreciate an oligarch trying to buy their civil liberties.
I may be tired and a little hoarse, but as I said again and again on the Senate floor, this is a moment where we cannot afford to be silent, when we must speak up.
Congratulations to Judge Susan Crawford on her victory, and to the people of Wisconsin for electing a judge who believes in the rule of law and protecting our freedoms.
