You have lived through one of history's greatest crimes.

It was caused not by vast forces of history but one man's twisted racist imagination and malevolent disregard for the world's poorest people.

The problem isn’t that two aircraft were shot down. The problem is that we aren’t psychologically or politically prepared to suffer any losses, because this entire war has been sold as a video game set on “easy” and not as a cause worth sacrifice.

this continent long before. The man who settled and built the nation of my birth arrived on our shores carrying the
memories and the traditions and the Christian faith of their ancestors as a sacred inheritance, an unbreakable link
between the old world and the new. We are part of one civilization - Western civilization. We are bound to one another by the deepest bonds that nations could share, forged by centuries of shared history, Christian faith, culture, heritage, language, ancestry, and the sacrifices our forefathers made together for the
common civilization to which we have
fallen heir.

The Rubio speech really is appalling, and if you haven’t read it yet, you should.

slavery is one of the rare things historically where the more you learn about it the more you realize your initial assessment was correct and it was in fact one of the most evil things ever to occur

Federal immigration law turns low level state offenses into a basis for deportation; here even an expunged record came up in a DHS system and led to Alex’s murder.

like, why would any democrat compromise with the GOP right now? you have a once in a millennium upper hand. every member of trump’s admin who opened that file is complicit. go after them. open investigations. have hearings. say it on the news every night. do something other than roll over for once.

If someone explained to the President what Marbury v. Madison means—the realization by a president that even though they didn’t have to obey a court order they should obey it for the functioning of a system—he would call Madison a loser

EDITH BROWN CLEMENT, Circuit Judge:
In March 2020, Jose Gonzalez visited a Walgreens store in Austin, Texas. Prior to his arrival, an unidentified customer at the same store had used the men's restroom and clogged the toilet. The customer informed a Walgreens employee, who gave the customer a plunger to unclog the toilet.

(quotations omitted)).
On appeal, Gonzalez makes three main arguments for why the district court was incorrect that a reasonable jury would not be able to find that Walgreens knew or should have known of the wet floor: (A) The customer's knowledge must be imputed to Walgreens undecan agency theory;
(B) Walgreens's knowledge of the clogged toilet is sufficient; and (C) the evidence creates a fact question as to constructive knowledge. We plunge into a discussion of each argument below.

It’s a sociopath thing, a boss I had used to do this faux polite cloying tone like he learned if you say polite words it’s important for human communication to appear reasonable; then they say things like ‘do you hear me thank you?’
